On hindsight, we should have gotten Rondo. He would've kicked ass on this kind of effort from his teammates.

There are only two possible explanations. They either don't care or they don't feel they have to play hard since McHale will never bench them. I mean even Cisco never lost playing time despite making only 1 out of every 5 shots he put up.

    Ariza: 1/5
    Bev: 1/7

Having 1 Tony Allen-esque player starting is great for the team. Having 2 really hurts. Bev needs to be benched for Canaan or Ariza for Papa OR we need to acquire a true playmaking guard to place next to Harden.

They won 5 games all season before he left and you think a three game winning streak after he leaves is a coincidence? They sucked there are no easy game for them. All of a sudden since he left now there are easy games?? for Detroit??

Their team was 5-23 and now they are going to win 4 in a row. Earlier in the season, they were dropped games against Minny, Philly and Orlando.

You cannot tell me that winning four games in a row for a 5-23 team is directly attributable to a weak schedule.

You would think if guys can't shoot, they will defend, right? Nah. It's like practice.

Would back him to make a three ahead of Ariza and Bev at the moment.

The lack of coherent offensive sets leads me to believe that the extension for McHale was way premature.

And I am fully off the Howard bandwagon - this guy is not remotely worth what we are paying him. He and Harden show no chemistry on offense and his insistence on posting up contributed to our offensive woes and turnovers. With the decline of athleticism, he doesn't have the basketball IQ to get "crafty" points do he's wholly dependent on getting alley oops, which depends on teams leaving him wide open (which they won't). At some point, if we are committed to Harden as our franchise player and have serious aspirations at a championship, Howard has to go. His contract is too big for what little he provides and for the legitimate issues he can't seem to fix (terrible FT and turnovers).

Josh Smith is a one-way player with no basketball IQ. He's the epitome of a talented loser and no serious contender would ever give him significant minutes.

Finally, this team desperately needs a 2nd ball handler who can run the offense either in tandem with Harden or by himself when Harden sits. I don't necessarily think it has to be a PG (although an upgrade there wouldn't hurt) but just someone who can run a set and get his own shot. The alternative is to feed DMo every possession when Harden is out and see if he can handle it (not convinced he is but anything is better than the status quo).

I've said in the past tha Harden is fools gold, but he's proven me wrong this season. Perhaps the rest of the team will put things together but unless we hire Coach K, I'm not banking on it.

That was probably the worst half we have played all year and we are only down 17. We got this! Let's go rockets!!!
