ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Pelicans 1/2/2015

The whole team outside of dmo and brewer and bev look disinterested. I say you actually make an adjustment , start dmo the second half and if you don't close the gap quickly then you put in Canaan , Pap , etc and rest up . Howard's post game actually looks ok tonight . It's his defense that's been awful .

 

I have seen enough.

I know we are 22-9 in tough, tough conference. But this team as it is constructed has zero chance to win a playoff series. We are too flawed.

I feel sorry for Harden, he is surrounded by so little offensive talent, it's really shocking.

So true. It's start with Dwight and Harden. That's why they need a really good coach not Kevin Mchale. Kevin Mchale is the type of coach the Lakers could use since Kobe is there. I see why Rondo wouldn't fit here because he's too smart of a player on the floor to play the way Harden and Dwight want to.

Mcfail is stubborn. He thinks now that we have depth these young unproven players no longer deserve mins. Obviously he's wrong.

And that is the saddest thing b/c of our high level of talent.

 

Exactly I don't know why he isn't using Pap or cannon at all. This is coaching people and he just isn't the guy to lead this team and they were dumb for giving him an extension.

 

This isn't even good offense by the Pelicans....

The defense is PATHETIC.

GUYS NOW I JUST UNDERSTOOD SOMETHING.

It's not gonna be just a loss they can brush off easily. They will have to talk about this. They will have to make adjustments. And lately it seems that they need it. As bad as it sounds, they need such loss! It's going to be alright. McHale got an extension, it's got to give him confidence to make the right calls after this one. I really believe that this will turn out for the better.

 

Free Canaan and Papa. I'm sure they want to play. Damn.

Now Smith started, did nothing since. The issue isn't one player.

Mchale should have never gotten an extension. The guy has no chance of incorporating the new players.

The bigger problem though is games like this where we show no ****ing heart.

Ariz has proven to be exactly what I said he was. A great defender who sometimes gets hot from 3. The idea was he gets less minutes so he can have more lift in his shot and makes some more, but Mchale still plays him tied for highest minutes at the half.

Meanwhile we clearly need some kind of spark, some energy and Canaan still has his ass on the pine. For 3 years when things suck Mchale just goes small and that is it.

 

If our 3pters are not falling we are one UGLY easy to defend team - we need a little variety out there.
