I have a suggestion: The people here that are traumatized and feel violated by criticism of Jeremy Lin should just stay out of this thread. Don't punish yourself. Wake up and realize you aren't going to shout loud enough to make others stop posting. You won't be able to shame them either. Be glad that Lin debates aren't littering up and dominating the game threads each night. The ridicule is mostly concentrated here, as it should be. This is a good thing. Throwing fits does not help your cause at all. None of the above applies to the vast majority of LOFs who have their head's screwed on. Just the few that embarrass the many.

One of the mods should update the title of this thread when it breaks the record for the number of posts in it. Unbelievable that this thread is still active but it shows you the JLin haters won't let it go.
Taking a peek at this page reminded me to see how things were going on in LG and man I was surprised. I see the same fanatic posts by LoF's blaming everyone but Lin and trying to predict Lin's next "ideal" team to land on, whether by trade or free agency. I see a few balanced Laker fans getting roasted for calling Lin the inconsistent, mediocre player that he is. Then I see a bunch of other Laker fans counting their blessings that Lin is just a one year rental and that him and his crazies will thankfully be gone soon. Difference between LG and CF? For all the strict moderation and thread cleaning, it has not even been half a season before their community devolved like ours to a point where team fans just want Lin and his crazies gone. It is unbelievable how Lin's fans are intent on making every single fan base despise him just for his fans.
I'll admit I checked that place out today out of morbid curiosity (and a slow work day). It's almost a carbon copy of what happened here, albeit with more strict moderation. Some of the screen names are even the same. As much as I dislike the Lakers I sympathize with the fans that are getting the brunt of the craziness.
It's basically the same passionately r****ded pattern: 1. Lin joins a new team 2. Influx of new members who only like Lin 3. Lin struggles next to ball dominant superstar 4. LoF's blame superstar for being racist or ballhogging 5. Lin gets benched for stronger defensive presence 6. LoF's accuse coach and front office for being racist 7. Lin continues to struggle off bench 8. LoF's discuss conspiracy theory that people are out to marginalize Lin 9. LoF's debate which next team is the ideal situation 10. Rinse and repeat!
Oh and sprinkle in the following: - LoF's passionately defend/excuse Lin's every mistake with multi-paragraph novels - LoF's torment existing team fan base of how they are racist and how Lin is a star being held back by the team
