actually Jeremy is half Taiwanese and half Chinese I am pretty sure. He grew up in America so he is essentially Asian American.

What are you talking about? Both his father and his mom are Taiwanese. Only his grandma was originally from China. So how in the world could it suddenly make him a half Chinese? You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. He is a Taiwanese American. Period.

I only know one person in Palo Alto who owns a home. He happens to be a very high up executive at Apple.

I believe Lin's parents were successful engineers.

The property values amazingly keep going up there because of all the rich tech people. I guess all the 'poor' people live in the ghetto of San Jose. hahahaha

That's because most Taiwanese people identify as Chinese you moron because most Taiwanese people are ethnically Chinese.

Being Chinese American means that you are ethnically Chinese not because your parents were once citizens of People's Republic of China

    Taiwan isn't a country.

That's like calling someone a Texan American.

    Uhhhhhh

Calling Taiwan not a country is like calling Canada not a country, but part of the USA (although not the same, because the US don't pretend it is theirs).

Ok calm down dude. Maybe you are right. I don't know. That would still make him 1/4 Chinese though.

Also, Lin himself said in one of the few interviews I saw of him that he identifies as both Chinese and Taiwanese, as well as American. The end.

do you not notice the oldest LOF trick in the book?

talk about Lin's race so people can stop talking about his basketball performance.

stevie wonder could tell you what LOF is trying to do

Lin fans are silly. Always interjecting tidbits about Lin's upbringing or personal life like that gives them more credibility. Oh, you've studied Jer Bear more than I have? Congrats. The rest of us were watching basketball.

so if he's supposed be called out on the grounds of making 15 mil this year, why not call the guy who has shown up to one practice, calling fools charmin soft, and making 20 mil + a year?

if you're gonna call out a guy for being inconsistent, then every player should be subject to that criticism

Oh please, don't act naive .

Kobe Bryant is getting paid 20 million a year because of what he's done for the Lakers, it's a thank you Kobe, retire as a Laker.

He's at the end of his career and has proven himself and then some.

Lin, on the other hand is auditioning to see if he'll be on the Lakers next year.

Kobe has been better than Lin, that's not even debatable.

Actually Taiwan is not a county, it was an island or province in republic of china before the civil war and then the civil war forced the government to move from Nanjing to Taiwan. So theoretically, China is still in civil war, one party named republic of china is in taiwan and another party named people's republic of china in mainland.

Canada was never part of USA except some tribes might have land on both side of the current border line a few hundreds of years ago.
