That's because most Taiwanese people identify as Chinese you moron because most Taiwanese people are ethnically Chinese. Being Chinese American means that you are ethnically Chinese not because your parents were once citizens of People's Republic of China

Oh please, don't act naive . Kobe Bryant is getting paid 20 million a year because of what he's done for the Lakers, it's a thank you Kobe, retire as a Laker. He's at the end of his career and has proven himself and then some. Lin, on the other hand is auditioning to see if he'll be on the Lakers next year. Actually Taiwan is not a county, it was an island or province in republic of china before the civil war and then the civil war forced the government to move from Nanjing to Taiwan. So theoretically, China is still in civil war, one party named republic of china is in taiwan and another party named people's republic of china in mainland. Canada was never part of USA except some tribes might have land on both side of the current border line a few hundreds of years ago.
