Man, the west just looks so much stronger than the east. I think Harden will start. Hopefully common sense will overtake the voters. (Hah! Rotsa ruck with that!)
I've been voting for Harden like crazy, but I haven't been voting for Dwight. He needs the rest (and those other guys are more deserving anyway).
It always has been and still will be a popularity contest/name game. I see rondo on there but no monta ellis who has had a great year. Curry is the NBA's sweetheart now so nobody is gonna catch him
This year the rest is like 8 days or so. A rest for Howard wouldn't be that bad actually. I will keep voting for our guys regardless plus there is always an injury or two right before the game.. Just keep voting
That's the thing. Lin fans are REAL fans. Rockets fans are not so dependable. I swear Dwight Howard wants the Rockets fans be like those of Lin's. Dwight Howard 161,295 Jeremy Lin 114,286 What a shame.
I usually don't get that up in arms over all star games but it would be a travesty for Harden not to start. He's played like the best player in the league and his team is right there in the thick of things in the West.
Jeez Dwight may not even make it in as a reserve if we don't vote him...I've been voting, but the West is brutal...They should have raised the roster to 15 rather than 12 there's just too much talent and deserving guys like Conely and Ellis will end up looking in from the outside
Morey has a point, I mean, if the actual NBA always had three "forwards" on the floor then it would be understandable to keep position designations. But three guard lineups, small ball and the like pretty much dominate the game today. There's no reason to start three forwards over three guards anymore. Harden or Kobe could easily man the 3 in an all star starting lineup.
I know...My point is if we don't vote Howard in as a starter there are others who have done more in the front court (due to his injuries), therefore he may not get selected by said coaches...Leading to my roster expansion point...I don't see where I said that fans voted for anything other than starters...That is common knowledge haha
Jeremy Lin should definitely not be anywhere near that should Yao is the only Asian deserving to ever been on the all star ballot common sense...There are so many more deserve ring players than him....His fan boys came out of the wood works for this vote
If anyone's interested I found a way to vote as many times as you want. I posted it here if you'd like to know how.
