I have seen a screen set every time Brewer makes a run for the paint. Rockets set a decent amount. Could use more, but many of our players ball watch when Harden has the ball up top.
Good for him, I hope he lights it up all the time. I like his confidence shooting, he was lacking that here because he wan'st a "vet". Whatever that means Milkhair.
We needed brewer. So no complaints about the trade. But I hated giving up on Troy. When you have players that command double teams you can afford to have a specialist on the floor for 20 mins to punish the double teams. Troy is an elite 3pt shooter and it will keep him in this league for a long time.
I didn't pick him up in fantasy because I thought he was a flash in the pan. He is actually pretty good - great stretch shooting from a big, but below average defender and rebounder. Still much better than anything we got out of him in Houston, but not sure that he can earn quality minutes on a contender yet. Glad to see both of these guys are getting some minutes, even on bad teams.
Not that it really mattered considering it was garbage time, but his first make was actually at 4:53 in the 4th so he scored those 14pts in <5mins, which I'm sure made it equally fun to watch in real time.
Pretty sure defense was the issue w/ both Troy & Covington. I don't think there was ever any doubt they could score in bunches, but Brett Brown has already come out and said Covington has a lot of work to do defensively.
What did that one guy yell out near the middle? That guy something f'in shoot? or 3 seconds f'in shoe?
He never did it with us, Daniels showed glimpses. Hope the best for both of them though, but Brewer remains the better player for us.
Ha. Just watched the video & it satisfied me to see Draymond Green and his pink lips looking impressed, despite his best efforts.
I'm not sure that 14 points in 10 minutes of one game qualifies as lighting it up. I'll give him the "He look OK" treatment until further notice.
What was equally great was that the Warriors were favored by 18 points to beat the Twolves that game. With about 5 or 6 minutes left in the game and GS covering the 18 points easily, Troy Daniels got hot at the right time for the massive backdoor cover. All the GS Warrior backers were dismayed and will never forget Troy Daniels again. Great game for the ex-rocket!
We do. There's a few plays we run multiple times a game to open up corner 3s. Early in the season Ariza was feasting on 1 particular play with a screen and a skip pass to the corner from Harden, sadly he has gone ice cold. Not to mention we run a fair amount of pick and roll, but my guess is people complaining about screens are talking about off ball screens.
How did the camera switch to Curry at the exact moment he reacted? It's almost scripted how perfect the timing was.
For some reason Rockets never have a great 3pt shooter although they offense is predicated on 3pt shooting...Does coach mchale perhaps go into head of players and make them insecure...When we started getting daniels pt i thought 'finaly a true 3pt shooter'... however his 3pt shooting sucked this year on rockets...
Why isn't he getting minutes if they traded Corey Brewer and K-Mart is injured? Is budinger really that good?
