This is about my opinion as well. Those first 8 games, he knew his role, was comfortable with it, and played very well. After that, the injury bug really started to bite us. Once that happened, players roles changed, and Ariza was the quasi-2nd option on offense. Ever since then, it feels like Ariza has been pressing too much. I think once we work all the new faces in, and roles become more clear (right now we know Harden is "the man", and outside of that I don't think anyone knows their "role" at this point in time), I think he will be more efficient.
Can't rely on that come playoff time, when the opponents are much more talented than this crap Hornets team.
Trevor Ariza's legs just need a break. He has played more minutes during calendar year 2014 than any player other than LeBron James. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>2014 NBA statistical leaders: <a href="http://t.co/FjKC2i8SWH">pic.twitter.com/FjKC2i8SWH</a></p>— John Schuhmann (@johnschuhmann) <a href="https://twitter.com/johnschuhmann/status/550504871083122690">January 1, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I kept thinking it was a slump, but Ariza has had more poor shooting games than not. I just think it is time to admit his shot might me gone. I just cant come up with another excuse to this horrible shooting. He had at least 4 wide open threes and went back iron, none of his misses were in and out either. And they havent been in other games either.
