Also Dwight's propensity for offensive goaltending on put-backs. Stop it.

We have clear coaching problems. By this point though im tired of complaining about Mchale its not to change anything the players are going to have to figure this out themselves. Harden is going to have to start yelling at people.

 

Free throws by any of our big guys. I dislike things that actually make me cringe.

Still, I have to say that there are a lot more things to be happy about with this team than there are to be frustrated about. On the whole, I'm happy as a Rockets fan.

 

The fact that all of our shooters seem to go cold at the same time.

Can we diversify our cold streaks?

 

some stats to quantify the eye test:

Howard is shooting 57.8% on his assisted FGAs (pick and roll, alley oop, etc)
Howard is shooting 42.2% on unassisted FGAs (post ups).
Howard accounts for 24% of the teams' turnovers while on the court (almost exclusively coming from Post Ups)

DMO is shooting 59.3% on his ssisted FGAs
DMO is shooting 45.9% on his unassisted FGAs (not counting 3s)
DMO accounts for 18.6% of the teams' turnovers while on the court
*Strange stat -
DMO when unassisted shoots 33.3% on shots less than 5 ft from the rim
DMO when unassisted shoots 65.9% on shots between 5-9 ft from the rim

My shaky conclusions:
1) Numbers confirm Dwight is horrible at post ups. He turns the ball over and misses shots.
2) DMO is great at hooks (and more rarely, fade aways) but is awful at finishing around the rim.

I think it's important to note that a lot of the turnovers that Howard or DMo would be credited with are actually poor passes. For whatever reason they give the turnover to the player the ball is being passed to instead of the player who threw the bad pass.

 

Since when DMo is bad passer?

Kostas is not a dick. Saw him in his white audi suv near the toyota center two weeks ago. I said what's up and he said "how are you doing" right back. Quick and to the point. I'm sure had I not said anything he wouldn't have either but that doesn't make him a dick

 

that's true - the actual TO% is inflated due to bad entry passes. But assuming Dwight and DMO both get the same crappy entry passes, i'm thinking you can compare their TO%'s
