Exactly this. And most of the time, when he can't even manage to do those two things he passes to Trevor Ariza to put him in a ****ty position to create with 9 seconds on the shot clock. So ****ing sick of this. Bev can talk all the talk he wants about guys having to pick **** up. But it's him who needs to play his role and stop with the nonsense. Because right now Beverley is a black hole.

    Bev is a 3 & D guy.

As terrible as Lin was, it was nice having another guy besides harden who can rune the pnr, penetrate, and create.

I think we're gonna give Shved some time to see if he can do some of it.

We just ran out of gas in the first 2 losses, and we are now trying to integrate new players and the rotations.

In other words, the REAL reason is not in your little shopping list.

Everything is going to be fine. Ive never seen a fan base go from saying deepest team in the league to full panic from a bad six games so fast in my life. Josh Smith is going to take about 10 games to fit fully into our game plan but he is going to make us better. After the full 82 games we will be no lower than a 4 seed. And this is just my opinion but this is a team built to succeed late in the season. Good depth, good rebounding and we have the ability to play lockdown defense. Everyone relax and let the process play out.

I am as big a Bev fan as anyone, but be honest all he can do is 3 and D. His role should be to get the ball up as quick as possible and pass the ball on offense. He tries to be a playmaker and hold the ball sometimes and it never works. He is not enough of a threat when he gets to the basket so they won't really care if he gets to the rim and shoots a contested layup. That is why he can't be a playmaker.

And last year we heard guys were playing for contracts (cough Chandler, cough Garcia) and not sacrificing for the team's success. This year we have Beverley and Smith, two starters, in their contract year. They want to get theirs too. It's human nature. They will pay attention to their stats.

Awww the voice of reason hits the garm.

    Torocan excellent post.

Hey we were trying to integrate three players. Shved was getting playing time at first.

He isn't a playmaker -- definitely never said that, so not sure what you're responding to there. But the speculation about him playing soft to avoid injury in a contract year is silly, IMO. Carry on, though.

ETA: I'm just tired of the conspiracy theories overall. You keep posting this from thread to thread, and amazingskills keeps posting his DMo contract theory from thread to thread. Just... yeah.

I admit, he is not playing soft. He goes up for those rebounds like a man with the big boys. I just hate it when he tries to run the offense. He is a PG who has to use his energy to get the ball up the court as fast as he can and pass it as soon as he is stopped. He used to play with energy and push the tempo like that. What happened?

I would say sloppy play and turnovers along with too much reliance on ISO and spot-up 3s.

For some odd reason, for the past few games Bev has been handling the ball a significantly greater amount than previous games. Harden has been brining the ball up way less in the past few games. Maybe Mchale is doing this to save some energy for Harden, but I do find it hilarious that Bev would bring the ball up just to find a way to dumb the ball to Harden at the top of the three point line which would eat up about 10-15 seconds on the shot clock. Might as well just have Harden bring the ball up and save those 10-15 seconds of Bev dribbling the air out of the ball.

Harden also takes his time bring up the ball. I wish they would speed it up so they could get into their offensive set quicker. Bev is doing exactly what Harden does so that might be by design. That's on coaching

Beal grabbing a rebound running to the 3pt line and making it while Dwight was daydreaming did it for me.

Josh Smith, whom I was excited about is horrible. Looks heavy uninterested and slow........dmo needs to start.

But ultimately we lost to two top teams......I watch all the wiz gms, they are the real deal.

Rockets lot to Wizards in a back to back with the Spurs. Not enough practice with the group. It was bound to happen. They were om such a high from beating Memphis, they let the car get olin front of the horse. It is still a long season. TJones is almost back.

Rockets will be fine. Especially for a deep run in the playoffs.

There is no option 'there is no problems'?

Seriously people we are tanking (you dont want OKC or SAS in 1st round do you?) and its only early in the season... a lot of injuries a lot of new guys, great guys, a lot of players made a huge strides in their development, all in all, we are doing fantastic!

Seems like the schedule has gotten harder. And we added some more players that can't shoot free throws.

It is a chemistry and effort issue.

New players, old ones not playing hard - they can work it out.

you get more points by shooting 2s in the flow of the game than shooting forced 3s over the hands of defence, out of position and out of rhytm just for the sake of shooting 3s and not 2s....
