For all the criticism Scott got from Lin's delusional and absurd fan base starting Price was clearly the right call. He's definitely stepped up while Lin was crumbled like the mental midget we all knew he was. Only role I can see for Lin next year is a bench player for a bottom feeder or someone who wants to tank. He's a losing player and has proven that time and time again
LOL This is what it has come down to. Jimmies rustled over nothing but game stats. Keep preachin, tinman.
The ultimate irony of those who call out "Lin crazies". The true Lin fanatics are the ones who post the most on this thread. Ironically the ones that post the most on this thread hate Lin. So who truly is more obsessed with Lin?
Do people really believe an NBA player plays a pc game more than practicing basketball? He's in the league for a reason and probably working his butt off all day.
we're obsessed with the truth. if someone asks you what 1+1 is, you would tell them 2 right? if they keep getting it wrong, you have to keep correcting them. there's only one thing people hate here on this thread... THE TRUTH
jeremy lin news: http://www.breathecast.com/articles...-star-pleads-fans-pray-struggles-pride-22975/ Jeremy Lin News: Lakers Star Pleads With Fans to Pray For Him as He Fights to Be Humble William RameauDec 31, 2014 07:34 AM EST Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Los Angeles Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin revealed in a new blog post that he wants his fans to pray for him as he struggles with humility in his first season as Kobe Bryant's teammate. Lin is best known for passionately expressing his Christian faith in his various interviews, especially during the greatest season of his career after he finally became a starting point guard in the NBA with the New York Knicks on February 4, 2012. "Spiritually, I've really been challenged to seek humility even more each day. When life is tough, it forces me to re-evaluate everything and learn to depend on God more than I initially think I need to," wrote Lin on his blog. "God continually stretches me and challenges me through basketball, and I'm just trying to live each day pleasing Him. One verse that really spoke to me recently is John 3:30-He must increase but I must decrease. This is counterintuitive to everything society preaches, but more of God and less of me is always the best formula!" Despite facing so much adversity and uncertainty throughout his professional basketball career, Lin still wholeheartedly puts his faith and trust in the Lord. "The journey I've been on has had its ups and downs and I appreciate all of your support throughout. Some of you have asked how to pray for me, so I decided to start a prayer group where I can send out requests for those that want to pray and support!!," wrote Lin. "So much of what happens is out of our control, but prayer has been a place I have consistently found peace with God." Previously, the 26-year-old Californian native revealed that the biggest sin he normally battles with as a male athlete is pride. "I'm not humble. Pride is [the] greatest sin I struggle with," wrote Lin via Facebook during his recent Fan Appreciation Week in August. "But I'd say as I get older, go through more experiences in life and face tougher obstacles, I realize that I'm more sinful and need God more than I ever imagined." Lin's current team, the Lakers (9-22), are currently having a very terrible season thus far, as the above-mentioned NBA franchise hopes to avoid missing the playoffs for two consecutive years.
I hope god has some good mods for his "prayer bbs" otherwise he's going to be dealing with a lot of garbage prayers
If the prayers are not going to be answered, they are going to blame god. Incoming "Fire god" thread....
Made me bust out laughing too. For such a prideful guy, he does seem to shrink mentally on the court at times.
I thought for sure he was talking about Kobe there. All I could think about here were those jump passes. Out of control? Indeed. Of course I'm just having a little fun here. I don't bear any ill will towards Lin and I sure as hell don't envy the burden of expectation Linsanity brought. I hope he can continue living his life and career as he sees appropriate.
I don't think that pride is Lin's problem... not on the basketball court at least. Rather than wallow in self pity (which is what Lin does all the time), he should work on his game and have some damn pride. He needs to decide if he is a basketball player or a soap opera star.
Holy ****, tinman has hit the proverbial nail on the head with this! Lin has an identity problem. The dude can't reconcile being an NBA player with being a "good Christian".
His problem is his evangelicalism. He has reformed his image and chooses not to say much besides "I only play for God" and "turn the other cheek." His faith is extreme and he probably represses the anger that comes with playing for the Lakers. Non Racist Reasons to Hate Jeremy Lin
he shouldnt be putting his faith in god, all scripture points to the fact that Jesus was ****house at basketball
