Once again, he signed a 2 year contract, not a lifetime contract. Therefore, they should rely on him - for 2 years. Thus far he has fulfilled his contract.
Why? Did Lebron sign some kind of lifetime contract I don't know of? First of all I think LBJ was sold on the organization being different this time around, from what I can see they are still dumb as rocks, Dan Gilbert should hire me instead of those bums he had at the FO I'm confident I can do better 1) Getting a rookie coach. Seriously why not somebody who has a proven record of winning games, someone like George Karl or even JVG? It doesn't matter how good you are in Europe, if this is your first time as a coach you're gonna struggle. 2) Trading Wiggins for Love without any written contract. How dumb is this? 3) If true, listening to LBJ to trade Wiggins for Love. Kobe wanted to trade Bynum for Jermaine O'Neal too, the difference is Kupchak isn't a dumbass and doesn't do horrible trades just to make their superstar feel better. 4) If they listened to LBJ to trade for Love, including Wiggins when nobody can give an offer that comes close. You think Varejao+Waiters wouldn't have gotten it done? LOL! 5) Getting like 10 forwards on the team and no center. 6) Not claiming Tarik Black off waivers when they need a center. 7) Not trading Waiters And on and on and on...Cavs have a lot of talent but are pretty much the worst fit roster in the league, it's no wonder they are struggling even with Lebron. I have zero respect for that FO and that owner who although it seems he has good intentions keeps on getting dumb as **** people to run his team.
HUH?. These excuse won't work THIS time around. He has 2 SUPERSTAR players on his team, and a very good player in Waiters. Cleveland has more than enough to win. Lebron fans are programmed to believe every single aspect has to be perfect for him to win a championship. Nothing less. If Cleveland doesn't meet expectations, his fans will place blame everywhere in Cleveland but Lebron. It simply doesn't work that way. Lebron's been calling the shots since he got back in Cleveland. Yet somehow we're blaming the FO? Really? Is the roster not good enough this time? Is Kevin Love not a elite PF? Is Kyrie not a olympic gold medalist? Superstars expect for championships to be HANDED to them. But this is the circus Lebron created since his press conference TV special years ago. Whatever happened to making players around you better?
The Cavs are definitely 2-3 role players away from being a real threat but we saw how free agents flocked to Miami to play with the big three. I imagine the same thing will happen in Cleveland but is the Cavs management as good as Pat Riley was at selecting the right role players to put around the Big Three? I'm not sure it is. I don't know much about the new GM. Cleveland is clearly in dire need of a rangy wing defender, a rim protector and veteran, true PG to come off the bench. Getting all three is a tall order to fill if the clock is ticking on Lebron's time in Cleveland and quite possibly on Lebron's time still being Lebron. Dude is 30 and looks like he has lost quite a bit of athleticism in the last two seasons. What does he look like at 32? Is he still a top five player in the league? Can he still play 75+ games a season at a high level or does he become a 6'8" version of what D-Wade is today? (no carbs) food for thought.
The heat are below 500 w/o lebron. Irving and Love are career Losers. I think Lebron will turn it on at some point.

-There is a big difference between the Kobe in 2007 or so situation and LeBron and Cleveland: Kobe was not a free agent. Even with Kobe disgruntled and wanting out, he was still under contract and the Lakers could still ignore his request on trading Bynum for Kidd without losing him right away. LeBron being a free agent this summer means that he could literally say that "I am not coming to Cleveland unless you make every move that I want." People speculated that the Love deal was all but worked out by the time LeBron decided because LeBron's public letter did not mention any of the young guys who got traded. It may or may not have been the case despite how suspicious it looks but LeBron did have a ton more leverage than Kobe did. And look, even if I think that I am overpaying for Love by, say, 25%, it is still reasonable to do so if the other half of the equation is that I get LeBron only if I do this trade. It was a reasonable bet at that time and even in hindsight. Even with their current struggles, they are still better off with Love and Lebron vs. Wiggins and Bennett. – It was also reported (don't remember who reported it) that LeBron didn't really care about ownership/management abilities as a big factor because LeBron thought that he and his owner people would call the shots anyway. He chose Cleveland knowing that this franchise didn't really have a history of competence after he left-- ****ty records every year and questionable draft outside of Kyrie. This is hubris on his part. LeBron may know hoops extremely well, but he isn't out there watching all NBA and college teams and running analytics on everything, nor does he have his own personal staff of scouts and analytics experts advising him on these things. Quality of management/ownership still matters.
Damn, could you image if he took his talents to South Beach. With Wade and Bosh he could easily win a couple championships and then return to the Cavs once they tank and get some good draft picks.
