The only thing I'm frustrated about is that Morey has hitched his wagon to players like Howard and Smith. He believes in them. This team needs Howard and Smith to play great for us to go far. Do you believe in Howard and Smith?

I'm with you on that. I remember one play last night where DMo was in great post position and Ariza could have easily fed him the ball but instead he dribbled to the left and gave it to Terry.

Do the players know something that we don't? Are we highly overrating DMo's post skills? I just don't get it.

Yeah because losing 4 out of 6 is no big deal, right? That's called getting knocked out, if this is the playoffs.

Here are some possible reasons for not using DMO properly.. i dont think its Mchale or players guilt i think its more management/FO policy or DMOs personality...

    1. Rockets are either hiding DMO (from trade suitors in upcoming trade) or

    2. Rockets are preventing his development and media exposure in order to extend him for much less than he is worth...if he establish himself as elite post player hes due for max dollars

    3. Either that or they are afraid of Dwight leaving next year if DMO is allowed to shine and to become the main post player of the rockets...

4 . DMO didnt learned to be assertive yet and become one of the alphas of the group...or perhaps he is cunning about it and is advancing in a slow, clever and unobtrusive manner perhaps waiting for another injuries ridden period

I agree with everything but Dorsey, 19% free throw shooting is beyond unacceptable, he is not the answer at backup C and I can't wait for Jones to comeback and school these fools.

I also want to add that if these guys had made their free throws we would've won both games. Having Howard, Smith, and Dorsey on the same team WILL NOT DO, coaches are to smart for that. Their free throw shooting percentages are like big flashing signs saying FOUL ME AT THE END OF EVERY QUARTER.

Let me throw a curve ball in this thread.

My frustration is that after a few games, people are assuming Brewer will save us. Guess what. Brewer is shooting .59.1% at 3 for 4 games. Do you know his career 3pt%? Yep, awesome 29.7%!

This reminds me of Ariza at the beginning of the season, only worse. Ariza was shooting .600 at 3 and everybody was saying, "Who needs Parsons?" I was warning people back then that he was not going to shoot like that the whole season. Anyway, Ariza is a career 34.5% 3pt shooter, much better than Brewer.

Brewer is playing way above his average and our record with him is 2-2. One of the two wins was an overtime win over Memphis w/o Randolph.

Not only that, Ariza is playing an average of 37 mpg in these 4 games, only slight lower than his average of the season. So Brewer is not relieving Ariza's load and is playing over his head already. And we are acting like we have found gold.

    This is my frustration.

You guys are bunch of fools.

The playoffs haven't started yet. Based on past experiences (there are lot of them), that is when the real frustration really begins.

Haha, exactly... Been watching this team since the late 80's/early 90's, if this frustrates you now just wait till the playoffs... I don't know if a lot of the commentary here are new fans to the Rockets or just new basketball fans in general. It's like some of the comments I have read are talking about some secret conspiracy going on, this isn't some government conspiracy theory... It's a basketball team. I can tell you right now, if DMo was some magical superstar in the waiting he wouldn't disappear these last few games. And it's clear Dwight would be gone if the Rockets thought that, Morey/Les want to win not hide talent/keep everyone happy.

One thing I'm glad for is not having a team that's in constant rebuild mode (ie the 76ers). As long as this team gets it together by the playoffs we might actually do something instead of being a first round exit.
