When DMo is in the game, we play better basketball. Plain and simple. The ball doesn't stick, the defense is better, and we actually have a legit post option.

I don't think DMO is elite on offense, but he is certainly more efficient in the post than any of our other options down there.

DMo is third in the NBA with made shots within 5-9 feet of basket on a per game basis at a 55% clip.

Can't beleive we have mchale for another three more years. I agree d-mo should get more touches on da post especially when Howard's on the bench. I would also like to see cannon start over Beverly. Cannon was playing his best game b4 he went down with an ankle injury. He was shooting 42% from downtown and now surprisingly he is warming up the bench just like Troy Daniels. I'm kinda tired of the rockets bs to be honest. Mchale sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The main issue is that Beverley and Ariza will see him with deep post positioning and not throw it into him. And when they finally do decide to give it to him, it takes them an eternity to get it past their defender.

D-Mo does not have an elite post game. It is good, but NO WHERE NEAR ELITE. If it was elite, he would take it up strong all the time and command double teams and intentional fouling.

This applies to Dwight as well. I think they are not necessary ignoring D-Mo, but rather just know they suck and would rather make a perimeter pass or run a PnR and avoid trying to throw it inside.

But that still does not make his post game elite.

Last night Dmo was really taking it to Kris Humphries, either getting the post move he wanted or getting fouled. Washington benched Humphries when Dmo drew his 4th foul, and they brought in Drew Gooden.

I knew Dmo was going to really take it to Gooden. Yet, from then on, Dmo didn't get any post touches. I don't understand why they weren't looking for Dmo when it was working.

DMo has played 30 games. He is behind Jefferson and Joe Johnson.

I don't wanna hear this crap about D Mo. He is passing up the shots he does get and taking the ball weak to the basket when he does finish. His FTs are barely better than Josh Smith. He is also not closing out or guarding stretch 4's at the 3 point line and he is a terrible rebounder still. They all have their flaws and they all need to play better. With more cohesion and practice time hopefully they figure out how to play off each other. D MO played more minutes than Smith yesterday and we lost and neither played at the end anyway.

Why would you double team a play that happens 3 to 5 times a game?

It happens to dwight much less. Bev and Ariza know better than to look off Dwight. The problem with Bev and Ariza is two fold 1) they're bad entry passers 2) they look of DMo.....they don't look of Dwight

We must be watching a different match....I can't count how many times a wing defender losses his man on the wing and Dmo sells out with his hands up to speed up the shooter...The bold suggests you're watching something besides Dmo.

Harden & Howard pick and roll with Howard crashing the basket should be the rockets go to play.....yet we hardly see it for 2 years now.....strange....I think its Dwight trying to preserve his body.

Not games, but here is his shot chart for 2014-2015.

103 out of 185 shots near the basket. 185 shots is a lot of shots. A lot of shots because if you remember or look at the game log, D-Mo has been awesome this year with lots of touches until very recently with now no touches.

Play Pap in lieu of Dorsey and use him to feed D-Mo. I'm sorry, but Dorsey is the weakest link, pure and simple. If there was one person's minutes that had to be sacrificed so that we aren't sacrificing our ability to get the ball to our most efficient offensive weapon, then it's Dorsey.

The issue is that it doesn't happen in the flow of the offense. They run to the left/right wing, stop, hold the ball up and face Dwight/DMo. Nothing disguised, and zero alternative options on the play. They shouldn't pick up their dribble until they know exactly what they are going to do.

Here are some possible reasons for not using DMO properly.. i dont think its mchale guilt i think its more management policy or DMOs personality...

    1. Rockets are either hiding DMO (from trade suitors in upcoming trade) or

    2. Rockets are preventing his development and media exposure in order to extend him for much less than he is worth...if he establish himself as elite post player hes due for max dollars

    3. Either that or they are afraid of Dwight leaving after next year if DMO is allowed to shine and to become the main post player of the rockets...

4 . DMO didnt learned to be assertive yet and become one of the alphas of the group...or perhaps he is cunning about it and is advancing in a slow, clever and unobtrusive manner perhaps waiting for another injuries ridden period
