Pat Bev is a good player but in the west, we need a pure point guard that can set up our stars for easy buckets. Harden does too much for this team sometimes on offense.

Hate to say this.. But Harden is going back to his old Defensive ways and not being a facilitator as he did the first 25 games.... That is one of the biggest differences in the last couple of games...

Once Harden gets the ball the team is just standing around and not moving... Unfortunately, Harden is in the all about me mode and needs to get others involved.

Smith ain't running guys. That's how simple it is. He's loping and lollygagging up and down. DMo is twice as fast as he is getting up and down.

The starting unit is offensively challenged. Their only chance offensively is to run the opponent out. That means the 4 man has to get out and sprint to the other end to the rim. Which is what we brought him here to do. Not stroll down, take the pass, dribble around and try to be Magic Johnson.

They suck and it ain't gonna change until Smith understands his role or they bump him out of the starting unit.

offense is always gonna stagger when it posts up dwight. Every other player stands on the 3 pt line while dwight shoots a running hook in the lane. Energy killer.

 

We may not even need him to do that. He just needs to be able dribble the ball with some poise and figure out where to deliver it. Man, he is wasting clock a lot of times because he does not know where to go.

 

Actually, they ALL need to understand their roles on both ends of the court...

Right now they are all playing selfish on both ends of the court...

Not everyone. Tonight I felt like Ariza and Bev played selfishly. Brewer was unselfish. Terry was a bit selfish but at times he was the only facilitator on the floor so I give him a pass there.

 

Good to hear all of that but I wish Dwight or James had the ballc to say it.

I also think bev needs to get more aggressive and take it to the whole more rather than always driving and kicking out

 

Given that (1) he was the most consistent perimeter shooter before the last couple of games, and (2) Ariza has been bricking consistently for almost 2 months now and nothing fell apart all that time, I think this has to be about something bigger. JMO.

ETA: Was this about the time last year they had a players' only meeting? LOL. Or was that season before last?
