McHale deserves the blame tonight. The one thing I'm cautiously happy about is he had enough balls to bench Smith's ass. Too bad I'm pretty sure this is just a "he's not up to speed with the way he does things" type thing and not a "our team suffers when Smith is on the court" type thing. Too bad McHale doesn't have the balls to keep Bev on the bench like he does with Canaan.
Would really like to see him have the cojones to bench Dwight when Howard is having no positive effect at all on the game. I would've been happier with Dorsey playing longer tonight. I mean don't get me wrong I loved those 3 straight possessions in a row where he scored after running the P'n'R. Shame he had the thought 'ok I've done it a few times no need for the rest of the night'
how the heck did Morey extend him? How? You don't do that 30 games into a season, you just don't. Yeah he did an admirable job with Dwight, TJo and all the other injuries we've had. But he's coming off two straight first rd exits, and we were expected to go alot deeper last yr. All the pressure was on him to finally get this team beyond the first rd. It's clear that fundamentally the same problems exist as last, we don't execute well in the 4th. We added Smith, Brewer so our defense is good and should protect us from losing to the crappy teams. However when it comes to the elite teams and the playoffs, that's were coaching matters, and where I still think McHale will fail us.
They were afraid another team would snatch him up if they didn't extend his contract by the end of season.
Why is Smith allowed to shoot threes? I know he's only hoisted a small handful in his 4 games but surely the coach tells him to shelve it. I don't care how open he is, just don't ****ing take it.
Looks like McHale now has no control over this team. Something within the team is bothersome. If there is not a players only meeting, I'd be suprised
