One game, Ariza. One game where you have a good shooting night. Please...just one...

Ariza is shooting too much, it's that simple..I'm glad Brewer has a shooting touch, so he can play instead of Ariza when the guy is not performing. Ariza is still the better player for our team because of defense, but he better find his shot soon! Parsons is inconsistent as well, but at least has some very good shooting games. Ariza hasn't had one since Mexico (7-1), the only respectable one was against the Twolves on the 5th of December!

Ariza is at 33% from 3's.

I never expected 41% like he shot last year. However, he can certainly shoot 37% like he did the year before last. That small 3-4% bump makes all the difference in the world. I still think he will get up to 35%-37% this season, which is good enough.

Even with his shots not falling, his defense has been exceptional and he is very consistent defensively. I am not overly concerned with Ariza.

I've seen a few people say Ariza sucks or has been awful offensively. Definitely true he has struggled with his shot now for most of the season, but I can honestly say I think this guy has been a game-changing addition for the Rockets, given that they seem to have made defense their calling card. If Trevor does start hitting the open three at a better clip (and he needs to), the Rockets are going to be very deadly.

Washington media in town tonight and one of them asked Kevin McHale here before the game about Trevor Ariza (former Wizard) how he has fit in here with the Rockets.

    This was McHale's response:

Clutch, I can agree with that, but dang I wish he were more of a two way player.

That would be a clear allstar candidate. Can't have them on all positions.

I'd be more cool with him being a bad shooter if he didn't shoot the ball as much as he does. However...he shoots around 8-9 3's a game and rarely, if ever, goes above 40%. I just can't believe how broken his shot is.

See I think Parsons is a 2 way player - and is better than Ariza - not as good on D, but still good when he wants to be, and is much better on offense.

I know he is getting a lot of money - but dang it, if he were here with his ball movement, body movement and ability to create we would be better off, IMO.

Parsons doesn't play defense. Not a 2 way player.

Ariza just needs to stop taking contested shots and driving, it is that simple. His shooting is fine when he's open.

Neither Parsons nor Ariza are two way players.

BTW - just remember that we could have had Parsons for under $1m - we CHOSE to make him a restricted free agent.

Parsons' defense is weak. His lateral quickness is weak.

His shooting is nothing special either.

well, Ariza and Brewer >> Parsons....

Ariza needs to be put in his ****ing role, he's been trying to Harden it up more and more.

    Career 47% FG and 37% 3pt shooter.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/6466/chandler-parsons

Was a lock down defender his rookie year which shows he can do that with focus.

He is way better than Ariza - it is not close.

And again, we could have had him for under $1m - Morey is the one that made the mistake of making him a restricted Free Agent.

We could still have both Brewer and - and be saving 7M this year.

Sure but you can argue Ariza impact on rockets > parsons impact on rockets???defense vs offense. Next to harden I want a defensive wing.
