Extremely frustrating loss but I still see a lot of promise in this team. A little polishing and the Rockets will be dangerous. Brew, DMO, and Dorsey had great games! Almost won the game for us.

Dorsey +23, Brew +21, Jet +20. All our starters in the negative +/-, except for Smith's impressive +1.

With all this negativity talk, I would like to say that it's nice to actually have a bench now. Brewer is awesome!!! Dorsey did a great job as well, wish he would bring this consistent effort every night.

If we can trade Howard for Mark Gasol, we can win the champion this year
Howard is good fit in Memphis, and Mark can help Harden

As much as y'all feel like Dwight is/was the issue....he's not. We lost the last two games because we haven't played together. The ball gets sticky and as a result transition is hard to build. Also, our turnovers are horrendous and we need to work on free throws. You can't expect to win a game if you're constantly giving the ball away.

My knee jerk reactions to tonight's game:

Never thought I would hear myself say this, but Joey Dorsey out played Dwight tonight.

Corey Brewer was a great addition to this team.

Josh Smith is going to be a disaster. Takes horrible shots. Horrible free throw shooter. Seems to turn over the ball a lot.

Would like to see Papanikolaou get back into the rotation. He just seemed to make good things happen when he was on the court.

    But we're still scoring well.

    Giving up 100+ consistently though.

But they can't be asked to fight back from double-digit deficits every time out. It's not just tonight. The Rockets have been spotting nearly every team lately a big lead before clawing back to win. Eventually you're gonna get burned and that's what's happened now with the Wizards and in other games like against Atlanta.

I wish Fran Blineberry still wrote for the Rockets. He would call out Dwight's ass in a hot second.

Well, who's partly responsible for that? Dwight isn't putting much effort out there on defense and his free throw shooting has been mostly horrible(other than in OT at Memphis).

Dwight needs to step it up.

Josh Smith needs to stop trying so hard.

DMo needs to play 30 min a night.

Corey Brewer is badass. I've always like his game and damn he looks good so far. Hope he keeps it up.

Papa needs to see the floor for 8-10 min a game.

Because he played with the 2nd unit in that 2nd quarter where we outplayed WAS.

If I were Josh, I'd tell McHale to play me on the 2nd unit. That unit knows how to pass the ball. Bev as PG is just killing the offense right now.

Relax guys, it's better we lose now then in the playoff. This is the only way to find our problem and address it. We do need another PG who can really make plays for other, can' t rely on Harden all the time, he is doing too much. I am not too worried about Josh, he will find his role on this team. just dont expect too much from him on the offense end, his D is what we need in the playoff.

And I think that comes with the tweaking of the team. The bench is there. We know that the first team is good. If it is a question of effort, that's easy! I don't want to put Rockets struggles on Josh but I see that his energy isn't where it should be. Josh can start but DMO needs to be first big off the bench to play with Dwight. Josh and Dwight dont play very well together which is strange being that they have played together before (in highschool) and are good friends.

And we lost the last 2 games with JSmith starting. I'm kinda surprised they inserted him into the starting lineup so soon. Why not bring him off the bench, i feel like he is killing the chemistry of the starters. We got off to a really bad start today and started playing catch up right up to the final whistle.

Also, why couldnt they wait until after the playoffs to give McHale an extension? For me its simple, he makes it past the first round he gets extended, we fail to get past the first round again, he's out. So what will happen when we dont make it past the first round and we have already extended his contract?
