This is what I mean by people just want a scapegoat. Dorsey has played great tonight at his role. At least save this for the next time he has a ****ty game.

 

Picking him up was not the problem, promising him a starting spot was stupid and a coach like McHale is probably the worst to have a guy like Josh under!!

 

Settle down you Nancies... He will be fine after the inevitable adjustment period.

Anybody that knows anything about basketball knew this was a bad idea.

Can't believe some people were already thinking of re-signing him in the off season... Smh.

the problems were evident well before Smith got here

It started when Howard/Beverly came back and Canaan/Papa got benched

 

If you can't see how lost Smith looks out there and makes the cluelessness contagious..I don't know what to say...

 

Smith does not deserve to start at this point in time. He clearly needs to learn this offensive rhythm because he looks like a deer in the headlights right now.

 

We can't trade him.

 

Everyone is acting as if we are paying the man 14 million. We are giving him nothing to have him on our team. We are not stuck with him long term and gives us depth. Did you really believe that he was coming in to be a savior?

 

It's called an opportunity cost.

 

But I'm not saying the situation is not salvageable. I think it will get better.

 

Come April/May/June: many fans will be singing a different one probably. Stop the kneejerk.

 

But at what cost?

Cost to Pappa getting minutes? DMo's efficiency gone with the starters? BBall IQ lowered?

There is a cost in chemistry it is not about MONEY in the game, it is about fit.

Josh Smith brings nothing we did not already have, and in the end, he puts guys on the bench that fit better.

I hope like HELL McHale can figure it out, but I am on record as saying Smith is who he is a chucker who makes flashy plays but is inefficient at the game of basketball and is way out of position on defense trying to do something fancy instead of something better for the teawm.

He is the definition of a low BBall IQ player.....

Josh Smith was a +1! How is everyone ignoring the obvious problem which is that Dwight SUCKS ON OFFENSE and is killing us way more than Smith ever could!
