I just don't see Harden style of plays translate into many wins in the playoffs. He needs a true offensive superstar to take that load off him. Harden's offensive game is too taxing on his body. That's why players like MJ and Kobe were so money during the playoffs. They have multiple ways of scoring without bull rushing into the paint for contacts.

Do you honestly watch the Rockets, specifically Harden, play? If will not find a better offensive player in the league right now. Harden has so many different ways to score outside of getting contact when driving:

    - Step-back jumper
    - Post up fadeaway
    - Pull up three
    - Transition three
    - Transition break

So let me ask you this. What do you believe that Kobe and MJ (both who needed a proper sidekick in Pippen/Gasol/Shaq to actually win) have done that makes them so much better than Harden for carrying a team?

No he's not Arenas and no Arenas was never close to being an MVP... The only guys putting up the #s he's doing in history right now are Lebron and Jordan... Rose got it in large part for his teams record and less cuz of his actual numbers/performance.

We went 11-4 WITHOUT Dwight and multiple guys and remained a top 2 defense WITHOUT him... Statistically we are a top 5 offense with Harden and Dwight in the lineup... I need you to OFT and quit making threads if you're gonna be this ignorant about the team you're supposedly a fan of.

Harden has been one of the best offensive players in the league the past few seasons. And if you think he's that on dimensional it can only mean a few things.

    1) You don't watch the games.
    2) You watch the games but don't pay attention.
    3) You watch and pay attention but hate Harden.

And MJ took way worse beatings in the playoffs. Google "The Jordan Rules". There are reasons why he and Kobe were so elite. Physical resilience plays a part in greatness.

if we didn't trade Yao at all during his entire career in Houston, we aren't gonna trade a better player in Harden

I would trade Harden to Philly for their next ten year's first round picks. As soon as Harden clears their physical, I would hire someone to break his leg and pull his beard.

Then, I will hope in those ten years, we might land another MVP candidate like Harden with those picks.

You ever heard of a guy named Lebron James? Better yet, who is that true offensive star on the Spurs team that just won the title?

Harden is better than your namesake
Your name sake should have never been picked up by this team
your name sake should have been traded when his sock was high . . .not when he became a walking shell . . .

Didn't even read the thread, but what a ridiculous idea...to trade the MVP of the league. Zero stars OP.
