Awful. Just awful. That stretch where he threw up a bad, contested shot, then blew his defensive assignment as Rondo got a wide open layup underneath, then missed a driving layup was brutal.

His first bad all around game after 18 games. Bound to happen. But I'm sure many will start pouring on the WB hate.

I didnt watch the game. How much does this have to do with Rondo's defense?

WB single-handedly blew this game on both ends of the floor for OKC. This one was theirs. When he entered in the 4th quarter, his dumb shots, TOs and asleep-at-the-wheel defense killed them.

This stuff still happens way too often. Bonehead needs to yank WB when he shifts into hero mode and destroys the team. Ish Smith has very limited ability, but they were doing fine until WB came in for him with about 10 mins left.

This WB's 7th year in the NBA. He's never going to figure it out.

WB was bad beyond his offense. He reverted back to dumb WB tonight. Rondo did a good job, but WB was simply out of control.

Rondo didn't have much to do with it. I only watched the 4th quarter. This was WB at his absolute worst.

This was his 19th game of the season. He cost the team the NO game too, but he had a fine game prior to the last few minutes. This was his true first "bad all around game."

You're being pretty harsh if one bad game out of 19 means he's never going to figure it out.

He's been pretty ridiculous so far this year.

Well that's good to know. Mavs get a win and Cowboys in the playoffs. It's official we are in the darkest timeline.

He's like the Luis Suarez of the NBA. Incredible talent but at times an absolute dumbass.

Been watching WB since his rookie season. Very few guys go off the reservation to anywhere near the extent he does. You can no longer blame immaturity, "competitiveness" or [name your excuse]. He hasn't grown out of it. There is something wrong with the guy. To deny this is to be in denial.

Coaching may be part of the problem, not all of it.

I doubt that the Lakers stays close in this one. Their 1 point lead is built upon Nick Young hitting contested 3 point shots at an unrealistic volume and %.

Besides, come 4th quarter, Kobe is likely gonna shoot their asses out of the game anyway. :) I mean, there's a chance that Kobe gets hot, but the evidence so far this season suggest that he tends not to.

Surprised Laker actually kept it close for so long. But Kobe just doesn't have it any more. Been this way all season, they'd go to him in tight games at the end, and he'd fail like 75% of the time. Kobe didn't shoot much, but the ball still just went into his hand and stayed there for a long time until he decied to pass.

I think teams tend to overuse iso-ball anyway in these situations anyway, making themselves predictable, but when the guy you iso is shooting 38% or something from the floor, it's an even worse option.

Lin's defense for most of the game was horrible. He actually made some stops in the 4th quarter, and made some stuff happen on offense, too. This is probably why they stayed with him at the end of the game. I don't know how much it matters who else is on the floor when you are just going to iso Kobe (and occasionally Young) anyway.
