With Dwight's contract expiring in two years ... We should be able to give him an Asik type deal.. With a lump sum in the 3rd year??? Just an idea. These guys are boys and the rest of the league has hated on them. "If" we go to at least the WCF I see Morey sitting down with Dwight and Josh and working this all out. We got this best numbers GM for all this. We could also trade K-PAP for a future pick and free up more cash. I'm not worried... In Morey we trust

I would be shocked if the framework has not already been agreed to during discussions to sign. My bet is a short term deal to earn bird rights. 2 yr deal with p/o for year 3 as insurance. One of the rare cases I can see Morey extending a p/o.

You know who needs to participate in this thread? Bima needs to participate in this thread. I'm not believing anything you guys say (no offense) unless it is validated by Bima.

It all depends if smith is happy with his role and winning or if he wants money. He can't earn his bird rights for three years. So if we can convince him to come back next year at the mid level that would really increase our chances for a long term deal.
