If Canaan is healthy and Nick Johnson gets playing time over him tonight, I really want people who defend McHale on this issue to explain to me the logic.

I guessed it was due to the team playing so well.

    I admire the consistency.

    And agreed. Another beat down.

Spurs are a point favourites with sports bettors, what do they know that we don't? It makes me a bit nervous about this game.

I have a feeling Dwight is gonna have a big win. He normally plays well against San Antonio.

He needs a big game also to bounce back from Friday's almost no-show(aside from OT).

This is a good question. I'm assuming it's because the Spurs have lost 6 of their last 7. Maybe they assume they will right the ship?

Probably because the Spurs are at home, the Rockets have had to fight for almost all of their wins recently(hence their unimpressive point differential compared to the other top teams in the West), and San Antonio still has Duncan and Ginobili who give them a fighter's chance against anyone.

Remember, the Spurs lost in triple OT twice in a row against the Grizzlies and Blazers, so it's not like they've been getting demolished in their recent losses.

Yes I get that, but Rockets have won now 6 in a row against them, or something like that! It's a lot about matchups. We auto lose to Clippers even if they seem weak this season and auto win against Spurs (sort of).

Patty Mills back tonight. Beverley going to have to work.

It's also about how well you play. The Rockets seem to routinely get off to slow starts lately and every now and then, you get burned when you keep spotting teams double-digit leads(i.e. the Atlanta game). They need to play hard and smart from the opening tip.
