Harden, of course. He singlehandedly put us on his back. Do the switching test. Could Curry with his fancy dribble even win one game with black as the starting center and cannan as the starting point. Hands down, the beard, not even close.
**** that Sekou Smith. I don't do any of that twitter stuff, but could someone tweet him asking why he's such a Harden hater? Even in his MVP Harden bit, he adds his bs about Smith correcting Harden's defensive mistakes. Also, isn't NBA.com supposed to be what the actual MVP award goes off of? ESPN recognition is nice, but it boils down to what matters most..
lol @ the comments "Harden has just honed his skills to a point where every shot he takes looks like a foul. so there's like a 50/50 chance he's going to get a foul call on his shot. without that skill he's averaging 20 ppg and isn't even considered an MVP" this kind of logic is so ****ing stupid. That's like saying if Steph Curry wasn't allowed to take more than 5 3pt FGA a game he wouldn't even be an MVP caliber player
Per NBA Gametime... Known Houston hater, Rick Fox, finally removed his head from his ass and proclaimed Harden the current leader for MVP.
NBA.com - Kia's Race to the MVP Here's the article... Complete crap...I swear I can't stand the media bias sometimes.
Don't think the voting system has changed, but there were 125 "voters" last year, of which 124 were media members and one was an NBA.com fan vote. Not including ESPN regional radio affiliates, 15 voters were from ESPN entities; Sekou Smith was not one of them. On a side note, it looks like Woj doesn't have a vote. Here's a link to last year's voting results. http://www.nba.com/media/050614-2013-14-Kia-MVP-Votes.pdf
Thanks for finding this. It actually makes me a bit more confident considering James Harden finished with 5th most voting points last year. Considering how good he's playing this year he should for sure be in consideration at the end.
Yea, a total backhanded compliment. Sheesh, you're ranking a guy as #4 (which is already complete BS) , and you choose to add that little passive aggressive bit? thank god.
The author of that article is the perfect example of the phenomenon known as the "echo chamber" in media.
He says curry was missing David lee and bogut Mentions that rockets were missing Dwight Howard. What about all the other injuries? Half the team was gone, they won't mention that.
That is another detail that pretty much every media member has not taken into account. James was leading the team with several rotation players out. Terrance Jones, Dwight Howard, Pat Beverly, Cannan, Garcia, & K-Pap were all out at once during one stretch. Harden is on a different level and no other player in the NBA has had to carry his team like Harden has.
