Hoping Brian Gaine gets a fair shake.
Yeah, I whole heartedly believe it will be a "partnership" with the new GM and O'brien. Where O'brien holds the most power and weight. Similar to Belichick in NE. And I'm down with that. I'd rather know that failures/successes are due to the coach, than a muddle mess of guessing who drafted who and who has the final say. Maybe some clarity to the organization is finally coming.

Is it just me, or is the first time Cal has ever said anything to the media? I didn't know Pancakes Jr. could even talk.
This is the part I don't like about this. McNair should not be open to this because he saw this way of doing things didn't work with Kubiak. I wanted the see the Texans next GM be and actual GM and not a figurehead under the coach, which if coach BOB hires him, he'll just be a figurehead mainly like Smith.
I don't care about that as long as we know who has responsibility. The problem before was no one really took the blame for bad drafts and signings. Lots of teams have GM's that work for the head coach.
Only on the Houston Texans can a suckass GM get a promotion in order to bring in a competent person to fill his position.
Out right denial of this situation is funny. Maybe it's being shot down because they're actually firing him instead? That would be even better news.
Good point. Might as well promote him and hire a 5 year old. You'd get the same amount of work done, for much cheaper.
