Jones was playing fantastic this season before he got injured. He was a great fit next to Howard last season. Obviously Aldridge dominated him, but we don't play Portland every game.
He was 21 years old, the guy is 22 and had a GREAT start, he is a younger more efficient Josh Smith. Let's hope he is back sooner than later. DD
This is what I had in mind for him, hopefully he can stay healthy over the next few years and he will develop into a nice player. His motor needs work at times but he has the tools. He will add a lot to this team if he gets back.
Yeah it's amazing that people forget how young TJones is. This nerve injury just sucks for him. Hope he recovers 100% because we are going to need him for the playoffs.
T-Jones was showing a lot of promise. PF and centers usually take longer to develop and he's still very young. He's a crafty, mobile finisher around the rim and a good shot blocker. He did a lot of what Josh Smith did offensively last game on a consistent basis last year but much more efficiently. He knew his role and didn't overstep his bounds (good thing but could also be a a bad thing, since at times he wouldn't step up when we needed him to). Smith has a lot better instincts on defense, and is a much better passer. Interested to see how he fares against the elite PFs because that's usually where T-Jones fell off.
Happy New Year DD I normally give you a hard time in the forums, but couldn't agree more concerning this statement about T Jones. How soon we forget how young he actually is and what he brings to the team. I imagine his only downfall is the Rockets are in a win now mode and need to capture this window of opportunity - trade asset.
I want you to think long, and hard, about what you just wrote.... Not yet.... Not yet...... Almost... Now. Now that you've had time to analyze it, if Josh Smith had no defense, would you advocate him being on this team? I'd personally think he may be one of the worst players in the league....
I can't believe what I'm hearing. We had such a depth problem at the beginning of the season. Now we may have 4 quality big men, and you guys want to now trade the only one of the four the doesn't require the ball in his hand to be successful, works hard, hustles every play, and is arguably one of two best rebounders on the team. I repeat... if you don't get a game changing trade deal, you don't trade anyone. If Dwight struggles or gets into foul trouble, you will need Dmo and Tjones. If Josh Smith, takes terrible shots, you will need Dmo and Tjones. If anyone gets injured, you will need Dmo and Tjones. Seriously, I love Dragic as much as the next guy, but we already have 2 quality PGs in Canaan and Bev.
That really sucks when a young player miss so much time because of some random injurie. Return delaying seems like he's 2 weeks away from 2 weeks away, heard rumors he may be back in a week or so....in December 2nd or something like that, now he's out again for who knows how long. This is just ain't right either: I'm afraid he would need to go full rehabilitation before he ever get on the court, if he didn't started yet, he's probably out for a season. Did some research, and the output was mostly very bad. Let's just hope and pray it's not a career ending injurie. I hope this is BS, I really do. Spoiler Long nerves from the spinal cord send messages to the lower legs and feet. When blood sugar levels stay high, the nerve cells swell and scar. After a while, the nerves can't send messages to the legs and feet the way they should. When this happens, it can cause people to lose feeling in their legs and feet, making it hard to sense pressure or pain. It can also cause uncomfortable feelings in the arms and legs, like tingling, shooting pains, or aching. This condition is known as peripheral neuropathy. Damaged nerves can also affect the muscles in the legs and feet, causing them to lose shape. When muscles in the foot lose their shape, they aren't able to hold the bones and joints of the feet together, or they can pull up on the bones, causing the foot to become deformed. These kinds of changes can put pressure on parts of the foot that aren't meant for walking, making it harder and more painful to walk. Sometimes people lose feeling in their feet without realizing it. When people don't know they've lost feeling, it can lead to very serious foot problems, including wounds that won't heal.
Damn I almost forgot about him. We are going to have a serious back log of talented front court players fighting for minutes when he comes back.
The fact that smith has taken over the PF spot over dmo tells me tjones would've taken DMOs starting spot as well. After all, tjones is a rich mans josh smith. He can play jsmooves role better than josh smith himself! Jones pls...
Totally agreed, Dmo is a center...he needs to be in the paint. Honestly, this is one of the major reasons I really did not want JSmith, I think a rotation of DMo, DHo and TJo is better than one that has Smith in it. DD
