Not very familiar with the All Star Game, but given that it was in Houston last year I suppose some of you can help out with this. I will be in New York during the ASG and was wondering if there were any free events where fans could see/meet the players? Checked out the tickets for the game and prices are pretty ridiculous... I was hoping the see the Rockets play but they won't play in New York/Philly/Boston during my stay, so can't see them... I'm a Rockets fan and won't be able to see them play during my 6 months in New York so would like to find another way to at least see Harden (and hopefully Dwight). Thanks a bunch.
You may not see Harden or Dwight but you might see others. Look for tix to the Jam Session as others have mentioned. Look for tix to the rookie/sophomore game (on Friday night) or whatever it is called now. A bunch of players usually attend that and just chill on the sidelines. Look for tix to the All-Stars practice session on Saturday morning. Other options are getting tix for one of the parties-not the ones done by promoters but corporate-ish parties like the ESPN party, TNT party, NBA Africa party, etc. (Don't even bother with the brand Jordan party).
