Dwight looked out of sorts in the game. I hope he's alright and that there's no concerning injury bothering him.

Amazing win, especially when you consider how bad the team looked in the first half, completely discombobulated. Howard didn't appear to be present mentally. Substitutions appeared random. Just awful. Then, a different Rockets team in the second half, shooting 60% at one point and aggressively defending. Then they seemed to run out of gas, then got a second wind in the overtime. Really a huge win if you put it in perspective.

Gameplan was not really well thought out with DMo in the second unit. I hope coach addresses this. He has an opportunity to make DMo even more of a focal point off the bench against opponents' bench bigs.

Prince was guarding DMo for a good chunk of the first half, and I recall only one post up play for DMo! That should have been milked. Prince's defense had nothing to do with it. We just didn't feed DMo with a mouse in the house. Instead and even worse, DMo spent a lot set time in the corner three. Not even put in the best position to offensive rebound. Bad oversight by the coaching staff. Especially with Dwight out of rhythm.

Also, DMo is not consistent yet. If 12-13 straight is consistent, then Lin was consistent in NY. DMo really needs to work on establishing post position. He gives little effort once pushed around or fronted. Bev threw a bunch of bad passes trying to feed DMo in the post because the target was so small. We started to force it.

D-Mo never played with the second unit...

Dwight went out with foul trouble early. Smith came in and slid DMo to center. That's what I meant by second unit. In the first half, Prince guarded DMo. Should've been the first option in that timespan.

I'd just like to say I love Jason Terry on this team. When trades are being made, please don't include Terry.

He always zones out when he gets in early foul trouble. And he never really shows full focus or effort for the rest of the game.

Yes, I've noticed that as well. A lot of times if he picks up 2 early fouls, he never seems to get into the flow of the game later. I just wish the calls went both ways on him - seems like he is called for ticky tack fouls, but people get away with a lot on him. Of course, the NBA TV commentators yesterday were thinking the Rockets were getting all the calls.

Refs allow players to put two hands on Dwight all the time.

    It is a foul.

That was clear homerism. They saw gasol holding howard once and clearly ignored it and complained about howard complaining.

Exactly. Too bad it seems like most of the NBA TV Rockets games are road games, which means they default to the home announcers. Missing Bill, Matt, and Clyde..

Those are not NBA TV commentators, they were the grizzlies home announcers, NBATV picks one teams announcers for their games.

Yeah, sorry that's what I meant to say. It seems like they always default to the home team announcers. I have to say though, living in Boston, the worst are the Celtics announcers. Whenever I watch the Celtics games (only when they play the Rockets), it is absurd. What homers

To be fair, Worrell and Clyde are probably the two biggest homer announcers in the league outside of Tommy Heinsohn. I love Bill but I think it is time to turn a new leaf, the game seems to have passed him.

are we just going to pretend that our front page pictures are screengrabs from the broadcast. what happened to our crew photographer? =(

when this is my main concern you know life is good as a rockets fan. ugh, now i'm paranoid about an asteroid striking earth and having to suspend the the basketball season.

Being in Oregon, I have to listen to blazer announcers even when the rockets are at home. The blazer guys are pure homers who constantly b**** about Harden flopping, but apparently Lillard is legitimately fouled 130% of the time. It gets old fast.
