Question: why did Memphis pass on Harden, Lowry and Love?

    Because when you can draft a skeleton with celebral palsy who managed a double double in college, you do it.

    As for Lowry, he wasn't that good over there, and fought with the coach. Give Morey credit for seeing what others didn't, and Lowry for improving on his game year after year.

    I mean seriously, Morey caught more than a little flak for matching Cleveland's offer to Lowry. Then he showed up with that 3 point shot outta nowhere and the rest is history.

    This thread makes it seem like Memphis is bad team but they are currently 21-8 and have been relevant for the past few years now.

    I am not on a Memphis board to contemplate why they did not go down that path but yup

    Memphis never had that aspiration before

    Sold essentially Pau, and was a bad or mediocre team for a long time
