Opening a restaurant in a location where multiple other restaurants have failed is generally a bad idea.
I haven't eaten at every Italian place in Houston but Anitica is my favorite by far. The owner knows my wife and I (we visit often). Have some Amarone wine while eating their home made pasta. It's our go-to for authentic Italian and great wine.

No. I just have high standards for pizza and Italian food. I lived in Italy for a while so I know what the real deal is.
Where in Italy? I saw that you mentioned you studied abroad there. I was at Universita Bocconi in Milan during the Fall of 2005.
