Someone post the infamous Yao vs. Dwight numbers.

I agree with the OP, it's just something we have to live with. He has to produce in other ways.

He struggles with big physical opponents. Stronger centers that can muscle him up will usually put dwight in a shell.

I think good teams defend us a certain way and good teams will take away Dwights strengths - that's to be expected. Dwights doesn't have much of a post-up game so he's limited offensively. In those times he does need to be a defensive beast.

Great technical answer. Now let's give a legitimate answer, we don't have a PG who can feed the post. And the Rockets need to feed the post more. Saying he is soft mentally is a stupid answer because Howard was a low post scorer I'm Orlando.

It's because he's not THAT tall for a center. Remember when Yao always owned him? It's the same type of matchup. He's not an efficient post player and that issue becomes magnified against a tall and big front court.

If he brings it during the playoffs, no of this matters.

But i will say OKC will always be a problem with Ibaka roaming the paint. If Josh smith can drag him out it will be great.

Memphis: he 90% will get into foul trouble for some reason and then bombs from there,

Clippers: He has no problem with DJ or Griffin, dont know where this myth he struggles against them comes from

I think its 50 50. Referees do not like Howard and sometimes he's Over Aggressive, but we got the W in MEM, Tennekeys. #Pursuit

It is important to remember that Dwight's primary value (probably 80% of what makes him special) is on the defensive end. His offensive limitations has pretty much always been an issue-- one that Morey knew before signing Dwight and one that Morey is more than willing to live with.

As long as Dwight is playing high level defense: changing shots around the basket, rebounding, and even containing guards all over the play, he's helping the Rockets win games at an elite level and I'm very happy to have him on my team.

Regardless of front court match ups, one of my biggest problems with Dwight at times is his demeanor/body language. That's the main reason he gets called soft. Tonight he was better after he had been on the bench for a while in the second half but he looked like he just didn't care early on with his piss poor effort.

So you're telling me paying for defense cost an arm and a leg? ;)

But seriously, it is pretty expensive. $21, $22, $23 million.
