I apologize earlier about what I thought about Smith. He's a bigger stronger 6'9 that can play 3/4/5.
All but two of his shots were within 5 feet of the basket. That is what you want. Smith gets into paint effortlessly and is a very good passer. He is our second facilitator.
If Vince Carter weren't such a lucky mofo with his shots, we would have won this in regulation. J Smoove was huge.
We don't win this game without Smith. Yes he will jack up stupid jumpshots on occasion but honestly that is a small price to pay for his skillset. Plus it's not as if our big-men (outside of dmo...maybe) are better on offense than him. I also liked his hustle, those two rebounds were pure heart. I am very optimistic about J-Smoove in H-town.
Josh Smith is tough and has heart. Now all we need is another PG more of a passing PG to compliment Beverley and this team will have an answer everywhere.
lol Don't get between Smith and the basket when he is going in. Could get hurt. 8 rebounds he can chuck a couple 3's.
Most of them were good shots. Like Harden he can get to the rim at will. He had a spot up three, which I deemed a decent attempt. And a bad heat check three. Also maybe a few out of control drives that had no chance of going in.
