I work in the woodlands and I tried this restaurant on the recommendations of B4 u Eat and I have to admit, this restaurant is the best Italian food I've had since I did study abroad in Italy three years ago. The lady who owns it just moved over here from Italy not long ago. Now I'm addicted. Those of you that live close to spring or woodlands should check it out, it's pretty much home cooked food in a restaurant. Unbelievable.

Me too but to be honest I'd been pretty turned off ever since I came back from Italy because it's just not the same here in the states. Too creamy, heavy and not authentic. Seriously when I had this lady's pasta with tomato basil sauce I was in heaven. I couldn't believe it. If I was a millionaire I'd hire her as my chef.

I know what you mean. I spent 3 weeks in Italy one summer and ever since then I cringe at the thought of eating at Olive Garden and places of that nature. I don't live too far from this place so I'd definitely give it a shot.

I feel the same way this restaurant is like Italy though basically home cooked food her kitchen looks like...a kitchen. So far I just tried penne pasta with tomato basil sauce and penne genoa pesto both were great.

From what I've read on other reviews gnocci is her specialty and tagliatelle.

If only we had rail to The Woodlands this place would be thriving.

I'm pleasantly surprised that it lasted this long, not because of anything they did or didn't do, but because restaurants in that location have never done well. I think that spot in that strip center has been a handful of other restaurants, including a sub shop most recently before it was this Italian place, IIRC.

    This.

I live and work in the general area and even frequent the brewing supply store just a few hundred feet up 45 and have never heard of the place until seeing this thread. That whole area around Wolfies is a dump so most folks don't even bother looking to see if anything decent is around.

If this place serves decent food it could have killed if it wasn't in that cursed area.

Houston press had Capri as the best Italian restaurant in Houston a couple years back.

Never went, but I've been told their gnocchi was on par with Tony's; a very bold statement. Hopefully they just plan on moving to a new location.
