The thing about these new players... they weren't around when the coaches were establishing this defensive culture and the players bought in.

It will take a while for them to understand the mentality of this team and what is expected of them.

And of course, they have to get used to playing together and playing within the coach's philosophy.

Right before the half ended, Smith, Brewer, and Shved were all on the court. Three new guys playing together isn't going to look good...

 

Good first quarter.

Take out the two bull**** Howard calls and it's probably tied.

 

Very sloppy qtr dominated by the refs calling unreal touch fouls on practically any player in red and lousy defense, and awful experimental line ups my Mchale.... Shved is garbage right now and has no feel for this team and should not be on the floor. Smith has had a few nice moments and will find his place and groove pretty quick i think tho'

 

He just brings so much to the table....a miracle that guys like him get paid.

 

DMo scored easily in the first posession against Leuer, since then no more DMo.

 

OK Smith needs to just dunk or drive.

 

Those last few minutes are exactly why Dmo needs to play more with the second unit now we have Smith.
Also Canaan needs to be on the floor instead of Shved.

 

Well, so much for following the game thread. Some of you are absolutely pathetic, really. I should've posted my 26 "If the Rockets lose..." with the added "dont' be surprised if after the first ****** quarter...."

 

Josh already has 7 shots up, and is trying to facilitate, which he has not done yet...the only play he looked good was on a harden pass for the dunk.

If you have JSmith as your leading shot taker, you are not going to win.

DMo and he played the same minutes Dmo with 1 shot, JSmith with 7.

You can see why Morey likes getting Alexi, he gets to the line a lot.

 

letting him plays is the exact opposite way to show his value, need to hide him deep on the bench and hope some team wont do their homework and take him.
