Exactly. If he responded like this, I would have been disappointed to see him go but happy he got paid. But the way he went about it caused so much hatred. Everyone was disappointed to see him go but that instantly turned into hatred when he chose to say those harsh words about Houston and the team. So long, Tarik! Always the professional. See you in the future!
Good luck to TB. Gotta respect an undrafted guy that worked his tail off and was all about team. Tarik played pretty well for the Rockets, I'm sure he will land on his feet. Good luck.
Blackinsanity will happen. Then Les Alexander tells Morey, "What were you thinking getting rid of the guy?" I want to make money from the urbanized market. Get Black anyway you can." And Morey offers Black a poison-pill contract.
I liked Black's hustle, but he wasn't going to help us too much and obviously someone else in the league will pick up his salary so it's not totally terrible - he will still be on an NBA roster and maybe will be playing behind guys who aren't all star players.
Hate to lose a guy like that. Good thing is that he is young and once he matures, who knows, he might end up coming back.
Much respect for that guy. Don't think he's a back up center, but he's definitely a good depth big man because of the all out hustle he gives. Makes him better than those other guys like Greg Smith, Thabeet, etc that have the body but not the drive. Definitely a guy I'd love to have if a injury comes up and he has to play some spot minutes here and there.
Given Morey's propensity to bring guys back, I would not be surprised if there was a Black part II in 2017... Lol
Great end of the bench guy to have. If nothing else, you know he was going to be all out hustling anytime he was on the court. Hope he gets to keep living his NBA dream.
We're with you Tarik. Thanks for the effort. Everyone loves a success story from an undrafted player.
