I think this is actually good for Black. He may go to a team with little frontcourt depth and get some playing time. The Rockets probably were looking for a 2nd to trade him, but found no takers.

I wouldn't feel bad for him. But it does suck that Dorsey's 2yr contract is making him impossible to cut.

Well one thing is certain. Smith is better than Black.

Morey didn't want to do in on Christmas.

Black has potential to be a solid defensive big off the bench. I hope he fulfills it.

It sounds like he killed it in practice, but it isn't translating to the game..yet.

I think most pressing question now that we know which of Dorsey and Black would get waived is.....:which thread is going to get merged into the other. Exciting times for rockets fans.

I liked the guy. But when you have Smith, D-Mo, Papa, and eventually T-Jones on the roster, where will he get minutes?

A hard worker like Black will always have a roster spot somewhere in the league.

Good luck Tarik Black, did nothing but work hard.

Don't think he will be unemployed very long.

I think potential suitors(fits) are Dallas, Cleveland and San Antonio.
