Can we just agree that he has more NBA experience than Dmo? 8-9 veteran years? Can't deny that

Of course, but so does Kenny Smith, and I don't want to sign him right now either.

    :)

IMHO - we need more 2 way players on the team.

2 way players on the Rox, efficient on both ends of the floor.

    Harden
    Howard
    DMo
    Beverly

The rest are efficient on only one side of the ball.....

And I was worried of us going after Greg Monroe, another Piston.

    Not known scorer part deux

I would like to watch him play 10-20 games

Why don't you just put him on ignore instead of whining like the others?

Just because I don't like what someone is saying right now doesn't mean I should ignore their opinion on every other subject until the end of time. Block lists are highly imperfect.

Yeah, sorry, I will try to tone it down some.....

Will cheer for the guy, I just think we would be better with TJo and DMo and DHo as a big 3.

But since TJo is out, I am ok with JSmith - and HOPE he is able to play the team game and his role.

We get it. You're allergic to broccoli and you didn't like the Interview with Seth Rogan and James Franco. Jeez.

Why are people STILL caught up in his shooting.

At worst he is here for defensive purposes vs the top big man in the conferences which was one of this teams biggest needs.

Is it because he's starting? It's not about who starts, it's about who finishes.

No Josh Smith is probably not better than Dmo, but Josh Smith is a better man defender (who knows about team-defender) than Dmo. He gives us somebody that can consistently slow down Dirk/LMA/Brow without getting into constant foul trouble.

Maybe having Josh Smith/Dwight Howard lineups will clog the paint for Harden, but it won't be like Asik/Dwight. Smoove is a very gifted passer and has some ability around the rim.

If Smith is proving to be a clogging problem on offense, I guarantee you we will see Smith playing more with Dmo and Dmo/Dwight will probably close out the games.

Now I don't know if him not closing out games will cause issues, but again he's on a $2m contract.

Yeah, I'd agree with you if Smith wasn't such a low risk.

    $2 mil.
    One year contract.

    Very, very low risk.

this! as if anybody on the rockets can shoot...even harden is not a good shooter... perhaps only terry is

dont have any problem with Smith shooting 3s and particularly midrange 2s because rockets' forced 3s are inefficient and midrange 2s would make us more versatile and dangerous...

Because at some point you have to be able to score the ball to win.

When Harden goes to the bench, who leads the team, who can get shots that others can make.

On offense, our SF's are horrible, they shoot around 36% overall - we need people that can score the ball, and more importantly create for others to make their job easier.

The only efficient 2 way players on the team are:

    Harden
    Howard
    Beverley
    DMo

We need more 2 way players...IMO, guys that you can trust to play both ends.

And god help us if Harden goes out, we can win without Howard, we can win without Bev, but we can't win without Harden.

whoa man, that's pretty intense. I was waiting for the time you'd go full DMo. But you've been good until now.

Josh Smith is a two way player. You will soon find out. And you should cheer for your mistake in judgement.

    Cheer for it.

That's what us Season Ticket Holders do. And I live 1100 miles away from Toyota Center...what's your excuse.

I hope you are right, but Josh Smith's efficiency has declined MAJORLY in the last 2 years, his athleticism has waned, he no longer plays above the rim as much.

Maybe it is the situation he is in with Detroit...I hope so....

Either way, as I have said, over and over for 2mil, sure take the shot but I am concerned about him screwing up the chemistry this team has at the moment which has led us to 20-7 despite numerous injuries to starters.
