Refs helping the clips a bit. GS is still executing way better they just missed some easy buckets. The beautiful out of bounds lob play to Barnes, a wide open Draymond 3 and a wise open Thompson 3 stick out to me from that first quarter. Their starting unit gets whatever shot they want.
Chris Paul is still very good but he's not the player he once was by any stretch. He seems unable to beat his man off of the dribble without a pick and I haven't seen h get all the way to the basket once so far tonight.
Blake and CP3 are 2/15 and the Warriors are only up 6. Part of me says the Clippers will make GS pay in the 2nd half for not putting them away early. I can also see the Clipps collapsing in the 2nd half as scheduling-induced exhaustion bites them even harder. I lean towards #2. It will take a monumental game from Crawford for them to win.
As Rockets fans on a Rockets message board I can understand how we naturally downplay the Warriors and Klay Thompson because of Harden but man they are a force to be reckoned with. I like our chances in a seven game series against them but they are so smooth.
Klay Thompson is an incredibly good fitting elite role player, he's part of that team's incredible depth, and that's their strength, but that's where it ends. He's not even in the same zipcode as the likes of Harden or Curry He's not an all star, he's not an all nba player, to compare him to the likes of a perennial all star, all nba, mvp candidate is ridiculous, just as ridiculous as saying he's better than Curry.
This exactly. Put Thompson on the Rockets in place of Harden, and we would be on the level of the Suns, Pelicans and Kings. Good but mediocre. Nowhere near where we are now. Harden takes us into a whole new level. It's pretty frustrating to see the media downplay him while boasting Thompson.
Anyone just see Kenny Smith push Shaq into a tree? That couldn't have been scripted right? lol... too funny

Hope GSW loses. Just so that they come closer to the pack. Picture late March or early April, seeds 1 to 8 are separated by a game or two. Lose one game and you slip 3 or 4 spots. Crazy. It'll be the playoffs before the playoffs.
There are no favorites in the West as it stands right now. IF the playoffs started today, you just have to flip a coin. Too competitive. Going to be a lot of "upsets."
Warriors blew this game. They should have been out for blood tonight after losing to the Lakers two days ago. Just too raggedy and sloppy.
