That article was by Andrew Sharp, who now writes for Grantland. Now I understand why he has an eternal stick up his ass when it comes to the Rockets. Morey made him look like an idiot right after her wrote that long winded piece. LOLs
I'd let Capela go over Dorsey/Black/Canaan every single time. That dude isn't even close to ready to contribute.
The point I am trying to make is that Morey can set a little higher price on each player that he is willing to trade because he is willing to trade 5 of them. If Morey identifies just one player, teams will bargain more. By having all 5 available, it sends a signal to teams that Morey should be able to trade one of them, so the teams will be more willing to give Morey fair price on the guys that they like in order to win the bid.
The point is that no matter how many players Morey is willing to trade, Canaan and Capela still ain't worth ****.
His own team doesn't think that he's better than most backup PGs on his own team. Terry, Johnson and Shved all ahead of him in the rotation now. He has some potential but he hasn't shown much yet.
1. I said most 2. Terry's leadership is needed more then Cannons minutes 3. Cannon has won us games, and kept us in games when bev was down 4. Cannon could start on some teams 5. Shved has played 1 game Mchale testing him, Morey trying to showcase him. 6. Cannon makes 3s and layups, Johnson does not.
Canaan has been very productive in the clutch prior to injury. He's someone I would delay to part with unless we get something of greater value in return, not to open up a roster spot.
Come on, now. Canaan has his deficiencies, but he is more valuable than Nick Johnson and ahead of him in the rotation. He is still recovering following the injury inflicted by Dirty Chris Paul, but when he's 100% we'll still greatly profit from the offensive punch he gives us.
We are talking about the organization that thinks signing a 65 year old Jermaine Oneal is going to be the big difference maker signing that will more than makeup for the loss of Wright. They also tried to shrug off the Josh Smith signing in Houston by basically telling their beat writer guys & local media that Oneal is a better player for them so they secretly didn't want him now... yeah. I wouldn't be shocked if Donnie Nelson and Cuban see that the Rockets backup 5 is cut and just say we need to sign this guy just in spite of Morey because of "Our Culture" that will make him a better player than he was with Houston.
