You know I would give a lot for Bosh coming over in the offseason but we cannot be all getting everything we desire.

As far as fit, the coaching team has to develop a better game plan now to accommodate Smoove's 28-30 minutes a game.

I was ecstatic about Smith joining last year when we got Howard however there are better options now.

Smith makes sense for Houston as well.. I am not sure about next year, or next next year.

Sure Dmo and Jones are good and will get even better but you got to tell Morey.

I am ok going all in this year. Probably wished we could retain Jones and Dmo while doing so.

I think this move has Dwight Howard written all over it.

It is not entirely Harden's team. If Harden can attract Durant I think Josh Smith is a goner.

Dmo is having success because it's early in the season. Once these teams defenses start picking up, Dmo will start to fade. He will be better off coming off the bench.

Why are people underselling Smiths passing ability. That's another advantage he has over DMO, no matter how much of an idiot you think he is Josh smith is a very smart and willing passer.

Perhaps yes, but he needs to have a capable passer playing with him in order to be effective. We only have Harden. Terry plays more like a small 2 guard, Canaan and Shved are unproven.

So with Brewer and Smith in the fold, does Papanikolau still have a role on this team?

    I'm not really seeing it.

You always though Aaron was better than Lowry. You are so wrong again.

Smith and D-Mo cannot play all the PF minutes. Especially on B2Bs and if anyone tweaks something. Pap will get fewer minutes but should stay in rotation backing up 3/4.

    Howard/D-Mo
    Smith/Pap
    Ariza/Brewer
    Harden/Shved
    Bev/Terry

Unless there is a significant injury, Canaan and Dorsey/Black will be riding end of the bench. Nick and Clint will both be back lighting up the DLeague and sharpening up their games.

It's obvious. Dmo will sub in at pf and c and will still play many minutes. Pap will come in at of and sf. Smith can be switched and guard sf, pf and c. Brewer will come in as normal sixth man at SG and sf. Terry can come in at pg and SG. Then we have black, dosery and Canaan as extra back up but that depends who stays.

I see pap more at sf then pf. Brewer can come in at SG or sf and terry at of or SG. So pap can still see minutes as sf and of and dmo will still come in at of and c. Smith can be moved around three diffrent positions.

Being released, does this mean he gets to keep both the Detroit money
as well as the Rockets money?

Or does it work like being amnestied?

    Thanks in advance.

The team is beginning to look like Superman and super friends.

Detroit used the stretch provision on smith.

He will be paid the remainder of his contract through 2020.

He will get to basically double dip with the Rockets albeit at a smaller amount.

Remember Brooks and Budinger...that's all that needs to be said about your talent assessment.

Kpap was pretty good before the injury. If he can get his shots back, he would be very useful. His court awareness is so high, and I think any championship calibre team needs someone like him. However, I see his use on the team decreasing after acquiring Smith and Brewer. He should be used as a SF than as a PF because he can't rebound, but the problem is that it would be difficult to find minutes for him now.

You can play Brewer at the SG slot to backup Harden and then play KPap at the SF slot.

IMHO the 9 man playoff rotation would be: Dwight/Smith/Ariza/Harden/Bev, then DMO/Brewer/KPap/Terry and then the rest would be depending on who's hot/cold in the starters and subs.

I'm guessing DMo will get the majority of the minutes at the back up 4 & 5 spots.
