This is really going to be interesting. I have know idea if this is going to work out or not. I would feel much better if we can keep both DMo and TJones. If Smith turns out to be a dud, I'm feeling pretty good about DMo and Jones for the future.
My sources tell me no. Although there wouldn't be more of a perfect game for Smith to join the Rockets for his first game. Amin hates hard, bro.

2004 Detroit Pistons This kind of has the same feel as when Detroit picked up Rasheed Wallace for the season stretch and beat the Lakers in the 2004 Finals. Rasheed was seen as a knucklehead, a hot-head, Power Forward who jacked up a lot of 3s. BUT, his game was a perfect compliment to their roster (Wallace, Hamilton, Billups, Prince, etc) and he pushed them over the hump that season. Hopefully Smoove can do the same for us and then stick around for a few more years to keep a "Big 3" of our own!!
Ummmm .... Dragic can be a unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and if he decides to walk away, and we traded D-Mo and/or Jones to get him, then we would have lost them for nothing.
isn't the rule 60 days to trade a player that was acquired on or before december 19th? some think it is 90 days that we have to wait before trading a player that was traded by december 19th...if that was the case, then brewer, shved can't be traded till march 19th which is way past the deadline.
There is no written rule and no way dragic will guarantee anything. From a business standpoint, you don't do something stupid like that.
Ever heard of basketball reasons? If we can get Dragic for Jones + n.o. Pick and filler, you are basically going all in on this season.
I can live with giving up Jones, but not DMO...but, i dont see morey doing this cuz if smith doesnt work out for whatever reason(he gets cut), you are left with dmo, howard, and either black or dorsey since since one of those two are either traded/cut. 3 bigs is not a good thing.
What about Dennis Rodman to the Bulls? I remember a lot of people saying he was going to cause trouble, he and Pippen wouldn't co-exist, etc.
This is really good news. he can definitely help Rockets on defending other good power foward. It will be interesting to see him play against Bush on 1/3/15 game.
