lol Thanks. It seemed a leak by the team to either let teams know a good PF was about to be available or to steady the nerves of the fans just in case. And now with Capela being recalled and knowing he will not see any meaningful minutes of play time and it looks to me like Morey is going to bat again. Hope it is a at least a triple and not a dink single down the 1st base line. Morey wants that cherry on the top of the cake.
Out of these 4 players : Black, Dorsey, Canaan, Capela - the one who contributed the most this season : Black. You are worrying Les want to save a few bucks and cut him?
If Jones can make it back, before the playoffs, that would give us a very good backup four. Smith/ Jones Howard/ Motiejunas These four make a very strong big man rotation.
Re:Capela FWIW, Canaan, Morris, Jones, D-Mo, etc. all made several trips up and down. Seems like the Rockets want to make sure that they still maintain some connection to the major league team even if they are going to mostly be D-league material for the year. I like to hope this portends something else, but wouldn't be surprised if it is just a chance to connect with Capela face to face, let him know that they still like him, and then send him back home to RGV.
It's not necessarily that we care about les money but the issue that if we cut Dorsey It would have a greater impact on our cap flexibility
Also read earlier that Mchale had been working Dmo heavily with Black and Dorsey on the 2nd unit. As a guess that seems to be that they are committed to Dmo and who works best with him there. The one who doesn't is the traded one. The one left is here for sure to cement the bench offensively and defensively. Or I totally wrong on everything. I am not an insider.
Remember Smith has committed to us, so and it has been said that he will either sign Thursday or Friday. Morey has plenty of time to make a trade if he needs to. I'm just unsure whether Smith will play on Friday or not against the Grizzlies. It would be a good test to see how well he does again Z-Bo. Also didn't we play the Grizzlies on the 26th of December last year, too? Haha
Sims a Georgetown product averaging 9.5 and 5.5 in 23 mins would be a good upgrade over dorsey and black.
Thanks! Seems like a minor one though. Cyber mentioned that possibly Dragic would be the next target if Smith signed with DMo being included in the offer. If TJones comes back soon, I wouldn't mind DMo in the offer
