Meh. You can indulge in this fail parade. I'll catch a game here and there because this is still my mother ****ing city. This actually makes me a better person since I won't be glued to the TV for 2 hours.
This is flawed reasoning. Yes he was a champion as a player but great players don't exactly equate to great coaches, in fact for the most part great players fail as coaches. I really hope McHale can work out since we are stuck with him for the foreseeable future now. Sigh...

I am pretty sure that the Rockets front office is qualified enough to make a good head coaching decision. This isn't their first rodeo!

He said "knows what it takes to win a championship...", he didn't say "great player," so that would include: 1. Larry Bird- obvious- and very good job with Indiana as a coach 2. Rick Carlisle- champion as a Celtic 3. Phil Jackson- champion as a Knick 4. Pat Riley- champion as a Knick (I think??)- no the Lakers, in 1972. 5. Steve Kerr- champion as a Bull 6. Larry Brown- champion as a coach with Kansas in 1988
For starters he allowed the best shooter on Portland to get an open look to end the series. The one thing you can't allow to happen in that situation is for Lillard to get an open look and he did. Not being glued to the TV will not necessarily make you a better person. The meltdown on some of the post went from annoying to absurd.
It's hard to have confidence in any of the front offices on the sports franchises in this city. In the last two decades and overall sports history, there just isn't a great track record.
