Harden is flawed? He's the best player in the game.

You can't be pleased can you?

I dont get people who dont want Smith here. If he signs with us he could easily be the best PF we had in the last 10 years

Its been quite a while since any of us have heard anything about TJones so to answer your question - by just being available to play, Smith is better than Jones.

Because he's a terrible player and his name is Josh Smith. Nobody likes a Josh who plays D, runs floor, is an athletic freak, and a borderline all-star. And if we say these things we are looking at the past.... - ClutchFans

I'd be happy if he even wound up being the best PF on the roster right now. If we look at how they've all played this season he'd be 2nd behind DMo and if Jones was healthy possibly even 3rd. Again, I'll play along and pretend that it's 2010 with you guys, but I just feel like everyone is setting themselves up for another Ed Reed situation.

    And injured.

Smith would be a great signing and would bolster our depth even more. For $2 mil it's a no-brainer.

Josh Smith is available? Wow - I think that is a peach of an idea.

Are you trying really really hard to be this dumb or just a natural? Only reason I ask is Ed Reed was coming off a hip injury that he still to this day never fully recovered from. He also was 35 years of age and plays a sport with a much shorter shelf life. Josh Smith is 29 years old and has no major injury in his career having played 65+ games a year every single year of his career.

Did he rape your mom or something? You seriously have a crazy boner for running the guy down at every turn.

he'd cost no more than $2 mil, dwight might be able to reach him, two bad years of basketball doesn't negate the many great years he's played, he's in his prime, he can be cut if it doesn't pan out, oh...and we need a 4.

    No brainer!

listen Ed Reed is my favorite athlete of all time...... He was done before the ravens let him walk. And he was 35. Josh smith is only 29 and didn't have NEARLY the amount of injuries Ed Reed had.

    Please stop

What's this don't be friends with Dwight garbage I'm seeing. Isn't the best thing about joining a new organization is being friends with someone you know,

Obviously there's differences between the two, Reed is a HOFer and Smith is basically just Gerald Wallace with better defense and worse offense. Point is people are setting themselves up for disappointment just like Mavs fans did with Rondo.

how are people saying no to adding him? its $2M for 2 years.

we gave joey dorsey half that!

if he sucks, he doesn't have to play, and its easy to trade that contract.

Injured over the hill HOFer is still pretty ****ing useless.

There you go reaching for another ****ty conclusion....

    A) Rondo cost the Mavs assets (too many of them IMHO)
    B) Rondo's cap number is nearly $13 million
    C) Rondo is a free agent at the end of the season
    D) Rondo is coming off a pretty major injury

Smith will cost the Rockets no assets, his cap number will be just over 2 million, he will be under contract for 2 seasons, and is coming off no major injuries.

If you cannot see you are comparing apples to oranges again then I don't know what to tell you except that I can assure you I would never hire you to do any job at any level.

I say give him a go, just for his defense. He isn't good on offence but the run and gun style of the rockets will suit him. He doesn't need to be a leading scorer and perhaps that will help him.
