Funny, it reminds me of that one year when Seattle and Indiana had the best records in the West and East, respectively, early in the season- and Flip Murray was averaging like 24 pts. a game, and when they played each other in like game 20 or 25 of the season, the headline was "NBA Finals Preview?" Yeah, I think the Sonics missed the playoffs and Indiana didn't do crap. For any player that has talent, you give them a shot. None of us if this is going to work, if we get him, b/c there are wholes here greater than the sum of the parts. So, none of what I say or Da... says matters. But if I had to take a guess, based on what I know about that player and his strengths (and of course his limitations- I still hear the Hawks' fans' groans when he would take those 20 footers or 3s), this would be an excellent addition to our team. Defense. Playoffs. We need this badly. He gives great defensive options and at least has played quite a bit in the playoffs. It is most certainly worth it.
Who would have thought two years ago... that we would have this team. PG: Bev, Canaan, Shved SG: Harden, Terry SF: Ariza, Brewer, K-PAP PF: Smith (I hope), DMO, Jones C: Howard, Black, Dorsey We are heading in the right direction. Very thankful to have Morey as a GM.
If we get Smith, and he and the team succeed at a high level, I wonder if Dee Dee and Booby will eat their words.
have a bad feeling we get boshed here. not the biggest josh smith fan...but at the cost he's purported to go for, this is a must pickup. he will be our kenyon martin-esque player UNTIL he proves he can play more minutes... I fear he'll go to the Grizzlies...where he can rotate with ZBO and Gasol... then again, if he wants to start this year, we're the only contender to potentially offer that...
If they sign him then he needs to start. Don't want him off the bench where he thinks he needs to be instant offense.
Or... "Who? DaDatoka? Datoking on something, that's for sure." (all in jest- we need more posters like DaDa... don't forget , even when we disagree with him, he and people like (ugh) Tinman are what make ClutchFans great)
It's posts like this that make this board suck. Too many of you can't keep it on basketball. You simply can't resist the urge to slam the other poster. If we all posted crap comments about posters every time we thought other posters were crap there would be nothing but crap on this board. I could post the same exact crap about you. There. Now we can just keep chaining crap like this together over and over and over and over and just fill up pages with it. Or we can talk Rox and basketball. Please stop taking a crap on the board.
Yawn. If this board sucks, then move on to a board where you will feel more at home. If you don't want to leave, then don't say the board sucks. Considering someone a stubborn poster is not an attack and it is certainly not any crappier of a post than just making up nonsense about fantasy trades and handshake agreements just to spur conversation where you feel smart. At least DD is fun and rolls with the punches. Your view of your own importance to this board is ridiculously out of control.
