Right, I'm not a Mavs fan, but they have only played a broken SAS team (starters sitting) and a hot ATL team... Carlisle will make it work just give it some time.
But Papanikolaou won't. Just watch......his minutes will disappear with the addition of Smith. He's not going to take Ariza or Brewer's minutes at the 3, or Smith/DMo's at the 4. Wouldn't be surprised if we make our grand move for Dragic soon, using Pap, the NOP 1st and Capela.
Throw in Canaan. Bring in Plumlee. Boom. We don't need 3 starting caliber point guards. Get rid of Canaan. Bring in Plumlee to back up HOWARD so DMo can back up Smith and not play out of position.
What's supposed to happen or be said? How many times can one thing be repeated? Can't clear waivers 'til tomorrow. Teams are supposedly reaching out, Rockets still the "front-runners".
The suns circumstances dictate that one will eventually be available. Impending free agent, on a bad team, with quotes on how they will test free agency is a good indicator that dragic will hit the market. That is exactly why rondo was moved. There is also the odd following and unfollowing of the rockets on twitter.
garcia declining to be traded to minnesota could hurt the rockets since they're hard capped and are likely to avoid paying luxury tax anyway.
Well there is evidence that he's either available before the deadline or in the off-season. Either way he won't be in Phoenix next season.
No question Kpap's minutes will evaporate with Brewer backing up Harden/Ariza and JSmith/Howard/Dmo at the 4/5 rotation. I like Kpap a lot, but would do NOP 1st, Capella, KPap for Dragic. I look at the NOP 1st and DMo as the best assets and to be able to keep DMo would be great. Also TJones, assuming he comes back to health at full strength.
All the reports indicate that Phoenix is looking to move Thomas, which would simultaneously solve Goran's frustrations of being exclusively off the ball player. He was very happy with the suns and willing to re-up until the three pg logjam fiasco.
Even if they move Thomas, it doesn't mean that Gogi will stay on a non-contender when he could walk to a team with a chance to play for something. I'm not even suggesting the Rockets, I'm just saying that when better teams come asking about him offering him contracts, it's hard to believe he'd throw away the rest of his career staying in the desert.
Yes, but the only teams that will have the cap to sign him are the Lakers and the Knicks, which are both considerably worse than the Suns. Even by those standards Phoenix is the favorite.
