ClutchFans Game Thread: Blazers @ Rockets 12/22/2014

For me, the Memphis game was most fun. I still remember that sequence of Dorsey awesomeness block then tip dunk. We didn't have Howard that game either but we manhandled a team that always gives us trouble and blew us out a few weeks before.

The Dallas game was fun too, just because of the last minute with Harden showing Parsons the difference between role players and superstars .

Then I would say yesterday's game. Portland is a team we should beat, even when both teams are healthy. I genuinely think we are better than them. If Harden scored 50+, then this moves all the way up..

This. Of course McHale would like to have 5 all-stars, but what is your contribution to the team, McHale?

Outside playmakers are valuable to put the ball inside, close the defense, but if you have good post players like DMo and Howard, that's substitutive. What we need is to play-better-basketball. We keep playing crappy bball with Dwight with no ball/personal movement, and that is absolutely on McHale.

I still gotta see a play in which Howard recieves the ball in the middle, where most effective he is. Rockets rarely are able to get him the ball at that position cause we don't run plays that can help Howard to win that position. Having Howard there, it should be enough to at least get better quality shots. But our offense just sucks.

 

Definitely Dallas. The Rockets had just lost to the Lakers at home, blew a huge 2nd half lead to the Mavs, and looked like they were done. And out of nowhere, Harden makes that 3-point play(against Parsons no less), the Rockets get 2 defensive stops, and pull a win out of what looked like a sure loss.

Memphis is a close second though. I think 99% of us on here(including myself) thought that was a Rockets blowout loss in the making, and it wound up being the exact opposite.

really wish we didnt let those last 2 games go, we let 3 games already this season slip that we should have easily won. but none the less we're in a good spot.

it happens when you stop doing what you did...not feeding dmo in the post and making him shoot 3pts has nothing to do with exaustion...

I mean, it's true -- but still

 

I think the Rockets have won 5 times after trailing by 5 with less than a minute left. It's all good.

 

There are about 7-8 games this year we won that we would have lost last year. Get out of the wish we would have stage
