Talk about overpaying.......my goodness. Did you see what Boston got for Rondo? Dragic is leaving PHX for nothing at the end of the season. They have no leverage. And adding Dragic while losing Bev completely destroys the reason you're bringing Dragic here!
Haha I know, if they do that trade, we might as well wait for next season. Morey isn't that crazy to give up assets like that. I'd rather keep who we have than do that.
That's just bloody dumb..... Dragic would not cost anything near that in a February trade. At most, it's the Pels pick and fillers, with 1 young player going back. Shved/Johnson/Canaan (one of) + Dorsey/Black/Capela/Jones (one of) + Pels pick would get it completed. We still have a plethora of 2nds that we won't be able to use that can be thrown in if they must. Absolutely ZERO rotation players would go in a Dragic trade..... This is Moreytown

haha its not like dragic is some proven star...nba is full of dragic like players...NBA is full of great guards who play great for season or two...DMO is UNIQUE...UNIQUE....there are no such players in NBA like DMO...
Yes he is. His. Contract is more friendly, he is locked up for longer and is not a free agent at the end of the year. I want Dragic, but not at the expense of our potential long term answer at the Center spot as Dwight can leave after next season too. DD
I don't think you guys value Bev enough. Also, there are 2 things that ppl don't comprehend. 1) Bev won't outscore any of the elite pg's. But he's the ONLY pg that can consistently force those elite PG's into bad games offensively. 2) If you're saying you want a pg to rival those elite PG's, Dragic is NOT in the same category. All in all, Harden does most the ball handling anyway. So having a top tier defensive guard that hits his open 3's is the only thing we can ask for. I'm keeping Bev on my team over Dragic
No, DMo is on his way to First Team All NBA and the all-star game too... We might as well trade Howard for Dragic at this point... I mean at least from what I've read on this forum about DMo, haha.
Dragic should have been an All-Star last year and has shown his value consistently in this league. D-Mo has shown that he can actually get better over the last 20 games. Before that, he looked like he didn't even belong in the NBA. Some of you really don't know how to value players.
Maybe we sign Smith and start him at SF and he can shoot 36% like the rest of our SF do, he would fit right in. As for DMo you don't trade a blossoming player at the hardest position to find for a good player at a position that is easy to find players, that is not very smart. DD
I'm glad there is some perspective here like this. The more I read posts including Dmo or any of our main rotation players (let alone starter) I keep thinking "why in the world would you gift PHX value they don't deserve?" These type of trade ideas are more about what people are willing to give rather than what value is required to obtain Dragic. If PHX had more leverage I might be inclined to give closer to what some of these guys are proposing (DMo), but they don't.....
I'm not sold on Dragic for DMo either, but I will tell you if the the Rockets don't figure something out before the trade deadline this team is 2nd round at best in the West. I've watched the NBA long enough to know better than to drink the kool-aid. I know Harden is playing like MVP but he can't do it alone. I'd almost rather them get Smith, keep DMo and see how DMo works on 2nd unit getting actual minutes.
