You guys are living in the past. Josh Smith isn't the great all around player he was in his mid career Atlanta years. We shall see. I just don't like him at all and think the Rockets will be worse off with him.

Really have no downside to sign Smith with $2 mil, but please don't trade DMo

If they are, he'll see the end of the bench like the other players making that little money. If he can get back to he was a few years ago - now playing for a good team and organization - then the Rockets would have picked up a top 25 player for peanuts.

Do you think you're more equipped for this NBA GMing thing than Daryl Morey and his staff?

Pretty sure he will be asked that question before getting signed here...... They just need to ask him three questions thou.....

    1. How many walkers have you killed?
    2. How many people have you killed?
    3. Why?

If answered correctly... Welcome to The Rockets :)

    Beverley Terry
    Harden
    Ariza Brewer
    Smith DMo
    Howard

    That's a nice, playoff rotation.

as much as I disliked this guy even in his Atlanta yrs, I cant see why not take a chance at him for the cost of 2.7mil.

Talk about a stupid comment! Papa's minutes need to be reduced. He's just not ready for quality minutes yet. DMo's minutes wont be affected. He can easily slide over to C while Smith is in the game. DMO Howard and Smith would get the bulk of the minutes. When Jones comes back that will be one of the best and deepest front rotations in the NBA.

There really is no reason to be against the move. People here keep talking about his deficiencies, but not one can argue that Dorsey or Black are better than he is, which are the players he would replace in the rotation.

And when Jones comes back its even deeper. Lots of options there for Mchale. This will also allow Howard more rest. That will be a big factor come playoff time.

I'd rather Rockets get Brandon Wright (elite finisher at the rim, knows his role) but I wouldn't mind J-Smoove on a cheap contract.

People act like houston is signing him to lead this team. Think about the depth he adds for this team and for cheap. But wait we're gonna lose black or Dorsey and their production.

Brandon Wright currently plays for a team-.. I'd rather have Aldridge I think he would be a suitable 4 for us.. See what I did there?

What do you mean reduce Papas minutes? He has been shooting 36% from the field and 29% from 3, while also turning it over 2 times per game. You honestly believe Smith could do that???

    Oh wait. Nevermind.
