It'd be the ultimate slap in Morey's face if Smith goes to Dallas. The media would have a field day with this. Can't we catch a break since the Bosh fiasco??
We'd be catching a break if Smith went to Dallas. That would be awesome actually, it would give them 2 new headcases to screw up the locker room while being 2 of the worst shooters in the league. I'd be all for that.
I wonder how many breaks we're going to have to catch before fans stop saying "can't we catch a break?"
dallas if they got smith, and played him at his natural position which is the 4, would be a better team than the rockets
we don't need smith to shoot. we need him to defend, crash the boards, and to finish. if you think black and dorsey are cutting it, you're mistaken. smith can easily be the best pf we've had in the past 3 years.
It's odd that you think one of the worst players in the NBA makes a team better. It doesn't matter what a team would need him for, he thinks he's a shooter, he's going to keep shooting no matter how few of them he makes. In fact, the fewer he makes, the more he'll shoot, gotta keep the numbers up. Smith would be arguably the worst player on the entire roster possibly behind Capela if we signed him.
Yeah, because they play the same position and Monroe wants to start and get paid. I mean, feel free to post stories of Smith being a horrible person, but you are now arguing for the sake of it. Put it this way- why are the Mavs, Grizzlies, Clippers and Rockets after Smith? Are these successful franchises suddenly in the cancer market?
I'm not a fan of his fit with the team as constructed, but I think this is going to happen. So I will spend the next 48 hours watching highlights of him in order to see only the good side and hopefully cope with this.
Yeah.... Everyone seems to forget the whole Harden for garbage, Howard being pissed on by Kobe allowing us to swoop in and Ariza falling in our lap. No we didn't get Bosh and Parsons but come on...
lol They want that double digit rebounding that he used to get as a PF. He come here and grab 10+ rebounds a game then let him chuck three 3's a game. In the meantime Duncan, LMA, Griffin, etc. is now able to be defensed.
Smith has never averaged double digit rebounding. Once he was over 9 per game (9.6). Most seasons he has been 8.x (which is good)
That's debatable. You could make the case Dmo is a worse fit next to D12 due to Dwight taking the post. Side note if Dallas ends up getting Smith... just %$$&#& That would be a nightmare for us and The West
