Well I agree with him though, Josh Smith is just the kind of guy I could see Cuban wasting money on. He goes perfectly with Rondo, big name, meh player.

Money. There was definitely mutual interest, but after signing Dwight, the Rockets weren't able to open another near-max slot (at least not easily) and the Pistons had a 4-year, $54-million offer sitting on the table. He couldn't wait around.

With money not only equal this time but actually in the Rockets' favor, the circumstances are very different.

As you can tell from the social media, 90% of them were pulling for the Rockets to get Josh Smith.

Especially those who hated the Rockets, like Bill Simons.

I pray to God that he doesn't go to Dallas. If so, it's game over.
It would be fitting as a Rockets sports fan for that to happen.

I'd love it, give them 2 new headcases that shoot like drunken 5 year old children, that's win/win

Only because he's never had 2 other superstars to keep him from chucking.

Definitely, they'd have a good bench suddenly. Carlisle is not going to be having him shoot stupid shots, trust me. If Dallas gets Josh Smith I think they become a elite team and probably the best team in the west.

Him going to any west team can really swing things. Hopefully it's either Houston or Miami.

Would have been something if we had traded for Rondo, then two of his best friends are here. But reportedly Dwight didn't want Rondo here? If true, wonder what's up with that.

Yes it is and with his injury history could be even sooner than expected. Thats why we need to keep DMO. It's very very hard to find skilled 7 footers. Look how long we have gone without having good bigs. DMO is only 24 so he's going to get better. He's just now scratching the surface of what he can be.

We already have a solid defensive PG that is improving at 3point shooting and fits this team well.

I know it sounds crazy and I really like Dragic but right now with this team I would keep DMO over trading him for Dragic.

No that is enough to get Dragic. He is 29 years old and set to be a free agent. His value isn't as high as it would first appear.

not really... once phx is eliminated from the playoffs, the pellies 1st is the best draft pick they will be able to obtain for dragic. include dmo, and that's a very competitive offer.

    lol

He shoots like 3 3's a game. He can do that easily here and he is a beast defensively. In this defensively scheme we have going with Josh would be a huge jump.

Dallas after their trade has no bench. With Smith they all of a sudden do.

I think the disconnect here is that for whatever reason you seem to be of the hilarious opinion that Josh Smith is a good player when in reality, he's one of the worst players in the league.
